How do you Stop tops of socks from unraveling in washing machine?

Yes, they unravel and this is a problem I don't have the answer to. The first time I ordered these socks they had a cuff at the top of the shaft. Excellent quality and they did not unravel in the wash. So I ordered more. Unfortunately the next order arrived but did not have the cuff. They look as shown in the picture and unraveled in the wash.

What is the compression strength?

There is no compression strength in these socks. The elastic in the socks has just enough strength to gently keep the socks up.

Comfortable and they fit

I have bought socks before that claim to fit but don't. These do, I have a medical condition that leaves me with very swollen legs. These socks go midway up my calves and stay up without causing swelling above the band line. The seam around the toes is on the outside which is great! Love them so much that I will be reordering them.
