is it true that you can't use with window screens?

No! The screen on my window was about half an inch away from the fan. Also, I read that I wouldn't be able to fit it vertically. I WAS! I just had to put the "spacers" on top of the fan. As far as appearance, I LOVED it! It just wasn't as strong as I had expected,

Can this be cleaned easily?

Define "Easily"? Because as someone used to cleaning out electronics this is pretty straight forward. Get a can of compressed air for cleaning computers and a vacuum with a hose and brush attachment then place the hose against the exhaust and use the compressed air through the front to break loose any dust accumulation. For me that's a simple 15 minute job at the end of the fall but YMMV.

is there a way I can buy just one or two more of the little foam blocks? My window is around 43" wide.

While I did not need to use the blocks for my window, I had another problem as my windows open vertically. So I had to find a method to block off the rest of the window. My solution was styrofoam! You can purchase a styrofoam ice chest at a dollar store, and cut it to fit the space you need to block off. And you can order additional foam blocks on Vornado’s website (item AP1-0003 Soft-fit Modular Foam Block System in the accessories section) for $25. The styrofoam is cheaper but not as attractive.
