EquiGroomer 8-Inch Deshedding Brush for Dogs & Horses, Black

THIS IS AMAZING. It is effectively a piece of wood and a hack saw blade, very durable, very easy to use! I have tried every kind of grooming brush on my 8 year old working GSD, (including other farm animal shedding brushes, like a sheep shedder) and nothing before this got that coat cleaned up this easily and this well when he starts shedding heavily. He isn't as long-haired as most GSDs, and all the other brushes/blades are more made for longer coats than he has. I saw this on Girl With The Dogs Youtube channel. She has her own GSD she used it on and seeing it in action, I wanted to try it. And I have to say, I am VERY impressed. My dog has sensitive skin and doesn't like to be brushed so this makes it much easier work! Even in a short time it takes out a lot of undercoat, which is better for him. It cleans up easily, the handle is simple and fits in any hand, though it is not soft/gentle at all. You will need to not press really hard or scrape thin skin with it hard. It doesn't cut a human hand, so if you're reasonable about pressure/repetition it will not injure even a thin coated pet. It will work even on very short coats to remove excess hair, and gets under the guard hairs that make my GSD not tolerate typical brushing well. Bonus, it helps remove fur from carpets/rugs/furniture without damage! (Just wash it between using it on the pet!) I am super excited and very happy. Buy it! It works!!

I have the world’s sheddiest dog. He is part German Shepherd, part Great Pyrenees and 100% fluffy. He sheds so much I have to vacuum and sweep all the time. I have a good dog rake that does a good job getting all the loose fur off of him, but he doesn’t like it. It gets a little bit too grabby on his fur. This equine rake works just as well but he doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he likes it. Because our dog is such a big boy, 110 pounds I got the largest one, but this comes in several sizes. If you’ve got a furry dog that doesn’t like getting dethatched this should do the trick for you. I am super happy with it and it is well worth the money. Every time we use it, we pull off enough fur from them to build a few small dogs. Check the picture.

Wow!! I have a lab that sheds like crazy and this was a godsend. I use it a few minutes a day and it saves me from cleaning hairballs from the house. She also loves it!!!

Works good but I have smaller hands so I wound up buying the smaller size too. It's worth it in my opinion. 4 stars because I haven't had it to long. Dogs & cats like it too.

This simply genius grooming instrument helps to release the pre-shed fur that serves no purpose but to make my pup hotter than he needs to be. It doesn't rake his skin, nor pull out attached fur- only the fur that's stuck in limbo between his skin & outer fur. My guy doesn't complain or try to bolt. It feels like Im just petting him but the fluff just billows out. He loves it! And the price is reasonable, so I live it even more!

This was a great find. I saw this being used on Girl w The Dogs YouTube channel and decided to try on my horse. It works amazingly well. Gets the shedding hair and dandruff. The coat quality and shine becomes way better as you use this. Easy to use. Gentle even on short haired dogs and cats. Im buying a second one for my cat.

**UPDATE*** we got a replacement and needless to say he will have noting to do with it!! I guess if ya pulled my hair I might not be happy either! We lost our sleekz brush and a creator on instagram that is a groomer raved about your brush. I don’t see it! Loved the sleekz brush we got from tractor supply and working multiple jobs right now it was easier to order. But I have to say I am disappointed in the quality of this brush. The blade snags my German shepherds coat and not due to knots. The blade has a few weird cut teeth. He actually yiked the first brush with it. And now refuses the comb. The color we ordered was as shown and loved that about it. I will attach pics. My shepherd puppy is a large boy about 91lbs with a fairly short to medium coat. Like I said we love our lost brush and was looking for a good replacement. He is used to being brushed daily. So I hope his experience with this one that hurt him doesn’t ruin it. Shepherds are temperamental when it comes to certain things.

I was a bit surprised to discover that this “brush” is nothing more than a short hack saw blade imbedded in a wooden handle.

The product does help with shedding, however it’s gotten blunt and rusty very quickly unfortunately!

Maybe slightly too big for my cats, but very effective at removing undercoat. Pretty well made and easy to hold
