Very ease to use!
I just bought this to allow me to take photos through my small Celestron telescope. Previously, I had been trying to put my iPhone straight to the eyepiece with variable results (and scratching the eyepiece). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I attached it to the eyepiece and then attached my phone, which was simple to do. Adjusting in the X,Y,Z planes was likewise simple to undertake. After literally a couple of minutes up came the moon on my iPhone!I bought the version with the remote photo capture, and true to its promise it helped eliminate camera shake which had been a serious problem for me. I could take videos and photos all without touching the telescope or the camera. My only (small) complaint was that it was a little difficult to place my iPhone in the cradle, as the extension that is moved out to accommodate different sized phones was tight.Overall, the unit worked extremely well and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend spending a little more and getting the remote; you won’t regret it.

Does not work for binoculars
The z axis is a bit loose and wobbles, but the adjustment knobs give you a lot of control of positioning. The problem is that the clamp is too wide to work with binoculars, you can't get the lense close enough in. It would probably be good with a telescope or microscope.

Burly but not stable yet, fussing needed
It's built like a brick house. it can definitely keep the camera lens steady with respect to the bracket it uses to attach to the eyepiece. The huge problem I'm still trying to address is the fact that this whole thing attaches to the eyepiece of the device (microscope, telescope, binoculars, etc.), and that attachment is very, very, very, VERY unsteady, even using the sorta half-hearted diameter shims they supply with the mount.I shall continue my efforts to figure this thing out because I don't have much other choice. I'll update this review if I succeed.

Great tool for your telescope
Fits perfectly in my telescope and is very sturdy. It’s not flimsy and it won’t fall over. It’s well made. Parts are metal and plastic. I love that you can also customize the piece accordingly g to your telescope and phone. Visibility works well and I would recommend it.

High marks but surprisingly, not my favorite!
I tested 4 different phone attachment devices and this one (in my opinion) came in a close second to one made by Accuview. I think both are very capable and this one has some benefits that might tilt your decision in it's favor. The most important positive for this one is that I found it insanely easy to use. Insanely. Easy. To. Use. The co-axial X-Y knobs were fantastic and the Z knob worked as desired. At first I thought the claw shaped clip would be a big negative but once the "safety clamp" was tightened down it was remarkably stable and it gripped solidly. The other pro is both a plus and my one negative - the whole unit is made of plastic. This means it's much lighter than a similar unit made of metal but it may not be as durable. A usage note - If you're looking for a phone mount like this you really must also have a remote shutter release device or you'll be fighting "the shakes" at every picture.

A very nice mount, but showing its age
So first, the bad. This product is several years old. Celestron makes the generic claim "Works with [...] all the latest devices from Samsung, Google, and Apple." My iPhone 13 Pro Max is really pushing the limit on the width of the horizontal phone clamp. It's come out of the track several times. It's easy to put back in ... but if the phone were any wider, I doubt it would fit.The mount itself feels really good. It's one piece, pretty sturdy, holds the phone well, and clamps tightly onto the eyepiece. The newer iPhones have three cameras and switch between them automatically, so you'll want to put the phone in the mount first and get the camera lined up with the hole. If you attach it to the telescope first, the view will be very dark and the phone will constantly switch cameras preventing you from aligning against the eyepiece. You will almost definitely want a camera app that provides better control. The bluetooth shutter control is nice, helps prevent jitter when taking pictures. I attached it to the mount with two thin hair ties, so it's close enough to not get lost, but far enough to use without bumping the mount. All in all, I love it -- until I get my next phone.
