The ONLY LED Bulb That Performs Properly Like an Incandescent
This problem with most aftermarket LED replacement bulbs is that their various designs do not emit light as efficiently as the old incandescent bulbs do. Despite what manufacturers will tell you, they are a poor mismatch with the various internal projection geometries of any given vehicle taillight. For bright light to emit efficiently, the reflector or Fresnel lens type taillights of any given vehicle have an important relationship with the bulb and must focus properly. An incandescent lamp emits light in all directions from the central filament point of the lamp. The aftermarket LED products typically emit light mostly from the broader sides of the barrel of the lamp assembly. Therein lies the issue. The LED light source cannot focus properly towards the other elements of the taillight assembly and out the rear of the vehicle. Having seen the poor visibility results of improper LED bulb choices on other's cars, I looked for a few hours to find a lamp that would work properly with my Chevrolet Tahoe tailights (internal rear reflector surrounding the bulb socket). Enter the SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED Red Bulb. Like an incandescent, it emits light from two super bright LED elements at a central focus point and towards the rear reflector surrounding the lamp socket (a common arrangement in many vehicles). Light is efficiently and brightly emitted out the lens (much brighter than the incandescent). It works perfectly on this type of taillight. Now the caveat. This particular lamp may NOT work well with the integrated fluted Fresnel lens elements on other cover assemblies. It's LEDs focus light only around and towards its socket base. However, IF there is a reflective surface there, than this lamp should work projecting the light onward through the Fresnel lens. Getting the right lamp that works well with your taillight assembly an important visibility and safety factor too.

Built to last and great color!
I put these bulbs in my Nissan frontier two days ago and they are great! In tail light mode they are brighter than stock bulbs but not too bright. When you hit the brake pedal, I was really impressed! I was on a 2 lane road at night without any traffic behind me so I was tapping the brakes to see how they worked. The reflective traffic signs meant for traffic going the opposite way I was going would light up incredibly. When I got to my driveway I sat there and tapped the brakes a few times. These bulbs really lit up my street and the neighbors house across the road. I went to LED bulbs for the energy efficiency and longer life cycle than standard bulbs. Iโve been using Sylvania headlights for years and have been very pleased with them as well. Iโm sure I will be very happy with these and Iโm sure you will be too!! Heavy duty heat sink looks very durable. These should last a long time!

2025 Ford Taurus / PIS, Rear Blinkers, AMAZING.
Blinking Speed was โhyper flashingโ until I disabled โbulb out warningโ in a tool known as ForScan for my Taurus (google it). The value for the money is excellent because they are bright, use less power, and activate faster. The lights are also used for my brake lights and work perfectly. Fit and installation was perfect! A simple drop in replacement for my use. I highly recommend these to anybody who knows they will work. Simply activating faster than a normal bulb is a safety issue and can prevent an accident. If you are unable to disable your โbulb out warningโ or have hyper flash issues you may need the Sylvania resistor. Else look for a CANBUS safe LED.

They are working pretty good so far.
So I had someone pull along next to me, telling me both of my brake lights are not working. Sure enough they were not working. So I picked up a set of these for my 2003 Chevy Silverado at a parts store since it was quick and they had some of these. Then I got home to replace them and realized that the next stop down also took the same bulb. So this time I went to check on Amazon to see if I could get them and for cheaper. Sure enough, Amazon had them and for about $5 cheaper. Since these are not brake lights, but running rights, I could wait a week. It doesn't matter what way they go in. But it did cause my turn signals to hyper flash!! That's because the LED bulbs use a lot less power. To the easy fix is a new FLASHER. One that supports LED lights. So I ended up getting the NOVITA LM487 Flasher. They run here at around $70. I ended up buying one on eBay for $40.71 plus tax. So look around and see who you can get it cheaper from. Now my Turn signals instead of flashing sure fast, flash normally once again. It's not hard to swap out. For my Dash, Your trim around the guages will pull off. You want to drop your starting wheel all the way down and put the shift level all the way down. That means putting your key in and turn one click and then you can move it down. This will give you enough room to pull the Trim piece around you dash off. Once it's off and sitting to the side. The Bottom section under the steering wheel needs to come off. There is 2 7mm screws on the bottom. remove those and the whole piece will come off. You will see the flasher plugged in vertically right there on the left side of the starting column. It's a little tight. Pull a little on the top, and then a little on the bottom, working it out. Watch the direction it comes out. Look at how the pins on it are. Put the new one in the same way. Just push it in. Then test and make sure your turn signals are working as they should. If you pull the panels off and still are not sure where the flasher is, turn your key enough on and turn the left or right turn signal on where it's making noise, you can easily pinpoint it that way. Once in and working, just reverse what you did. So for my Truck, I needed 2 sets of these Red versions. I also got some of the SIRIUSLED 194 LED Bulbs, pack of 10. These are the small builds in the tail light area. You should have some upfront, and in your door panels also. They're all the same and quite common. The only one I didn't change was the Reverse Light bulb. It's still Stock. Do I really need to change it? It's only on when in reverse. So a fraction of the time you are driving. I have also changed my Low Beams to LED. But I had to do some Modification behinds the headlights for them to fit because of the heatsink fan attached to the back. High Beam was left alone because the LED range is limited. Fine for Low beam. The bright White light is really nice. High beem bulb is still Halogen.

Bright New Lights for an Old Truck
These Sylvania Zevo 3157 LEDs work as a perfect upgrade to the OEM lights on our older 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. They are brighter and use less power than the old incandescent blubs. These are helping to breath new life into this truck with more than 300K miles.

Dual Intensity Brightness - Great Tail light / Brake light
I have been looking for LED tail / brake lights that have two brightness modes and this is it. For vehicles that use the tail light as the brake light with the same bulb, these work well. The LED itself is slightly brighter than stock bulbs, but it does not make it look like your brake is constantly being pressed. There is a good difference in brightness between regular tail light and brake light when you tap the brake. Also, they respond quicker in lighting up when you press the brake vs stock filament bulbs. Did not create any type of hyper-blink situation when used in tail light/brake light. I have not tested them in blinkers or reverse lights.

Not much better. :(
Not much difference than the original bulb and still get "Bulb failure" code on both rear lights after replacing.

Brighter than the white version if used behind red plastic lens.
SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED Red Bulb: This bulb is lower wattage (1.5/0.4W) than the white version (1.7/0.7W) on both segments (high and low power 3157 'filaments'/LEDs). If used as a single filament 3156 bulb you get the bright filament/LED, the low wattage 'filament' is unused. LED facts: This one uses RED LEDs so most of the light passes through the red plastic lens that normal/OEM cars use for break/stop/running. I tried the white ZEVO LED bulb version behind the same lens and IT IS DIMMER even though it is higher wattage. THIS IS CORRECT. The white LEDs emit a low percentage of light in the red spectrum so most of the white LED light is absorbed which makes for a dimmer light after passing through a red lens. Most of the red LEDs light (high percentage) passes through a red lens. An issue, there are two sides to this LED and a large center heatsink. This makes for a no-light center spot. Since the light is so bright this is a minor issue (for me). Regular bulbs have a ceter bright/hot spot so this LED design is the opposite. Also, since the LED is two sided they will emit most light either up/down or left/right. In my 1997-2000 Caravan design tail lights I get both up/down and left/right. This is not a big issue since the lenses are a good design and the light both bounces around well and is captured by the Fresnel lens facets and reemitted in a good pattern. Matter of fact the lenses emit is a nice full bright glow instead of having the usual hot spot in the center. Different but nice. Remember, if used for the turn signal light you'll have the usual fast blink issue. You'll have to install a 6/4/3 ohm resistor to stop the fast blink.

May cause urn signal hyper flashing in a gmt400. Chevy or gmc truck
I ordered these for the tail and brake lights on my 1997 GmC yukon GT. The bulbs are definitely brighter and a deeper red than the clear halogen bulbs they are replacing. They do however cause hyper flashing of the turn signals. Just order the tomall 4 pin EP29 led flasher unit when you order the bulbs and the hyperflashing shouldnt be a problem. The flasher unit is located under the dash next to your e brake. If you have trouble finding it, just activate your turn signal and listen for the tick tick tick, then touch the flasher unit.. you will feel it working. Remove the old unit and plug in the new led unit. Done! Its that easy.

Very good product
Liked it very much. The running light does not make that difference, but for signal and brake light it is quite brilliant. Installed in a Triglide Ultra 2023.

Bad beam pattern, no light on the top of the bulbs !
They do not illuminate all around the tip, so they are useless and dangerous when used in a Jeep Wrangler OEM rear light fixture because they do not illuminate properly towards the back of the jeep. I did not installed them and I'm very disappointed in Sylvania for this very poor design choice. Not worth the price.
