This aluminum oil filter housing is fantastic! It’s a perfect replacement for the OEM plastic or ABS housing. All the internal OEM pieces, like the standing pipe, spring mechanism, and clip, fit inside without any issues. Installing it was straightforward, and it fit securely into my engine block, creating a tight, positive seal.The best part? No more worrying about cracks or chips like with the plastic housing. This one is solid, durable, and clearly built to last—even when removing or tightening it. Overall, an excellent product that I’d highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their Tacoma’s oil filter housing.

Inner tubing too short, I swopped the old pipe from the Toyota plastic part and put into this aluminum part. Just bend the tabs slightly at the base of the tube and push in gently and rotate 90 degrees. Reverse to install.

The product is well built and fits Lexus.My original plastic filter cap cracked, the dealer's retain price was $279 but this item is under $20.In this new unit, I swapped the cylindrical perforated piece (which hold the filter in place) inside the oil filter cap with the one from my old cap. The height of the new cylindrical piece was 1/2 inch shorter. It might not make any difference, however. Its easy to swap the cylindrical piece will old one.

I wish Toyota had installed the aluminum housing in the first place.

Be careful before you use this housing kit. I ordered this for my 2020 Toyota tundra. However, its center stem was too short and my mechanic didn’t realize this when he installed it. I didn’t realize it until I changed the oil and this is what the filter looked like. Fortunately no long term damage was done to the engine. And now because of the time that has passed, it is too late to return this item or exchange it.

This aluminum oil filter housing is much more durable that the plastic one it replaced. It has the same drain plug for the filter and the Toyota oil filter wrench fits it perfectly which makes it easy to remove and reinstall. Im sure this will function as intended for much longer than the plastic one.

Just installed, fit perfect, no leaks and appears to be of good quality. Screwed on smoother then the plastic OEM it replaced (which had no thread damage). Its identical to the OEM (Venza 2.7L) it replaced - no modifications were required.

This fit my 2014 Camry Hybrid perfectly. I was never thrilled with the plastic version as it always felt like it was going to crack when removing it. So this was good!While I'm here, the cartridge filter concept has to be one of the worst things Toyota has come up with. The cars are awesome, but this one part makes oil changes a pain in the arse - the fiddly plastic oil drain nozzle is dodgy and even when using it oil goes everywhere anyway. My Prius has a spin-on filter. That is much better!

Had received this item for long time and just replaced and re-installed it onto the car. It is working good and perfectly fit and looking good quality too so far. I will keep updating it after few months.

Exactly what we are looking for. This housing is well built, aluminum instead of plastic. Should last a very long time.
