Miracle Product
This stuff is a miracle. Stupidly, I sliced a good solid chunk of skin off my thumb while slicing beets on a mandolin. It was bleeding profusely. I was really nervous. I wrapped it up with direct pressure using the only materials I had at the time while my son-in-law did an Internet search as to what our next steps should be. Now please, I am not recommending what anyone should do in this circumstance, but the instructions were to go to urgent care if the bleeding did not stop within 30 minutes. The bleeding didn't stop. I called urgent care but they weren't necessarily going to get me in right away and the cost was going to be at least $200 and I didn't have anyone to take me and I was watching my grandkids. I decided to keep it tightly wrapped in the gauze and the self-adhesive bandage wrapping around that, having added petroleum jelly to the gauze to keep it from sticking and healing into the wound itself. I kept my arm elevated, lasted the day, and went to bed. By the next morning I already had the collagen pads and so got all the supplies ready and dared to unwrap my bandages. What I feared would happen, did happen. The gauze bandage was completely and tightly stuck to my large wound. Even slightly moving it was extremely painful. I soaked it continuously under running water in hopes that would loosen the cotton gauze from the wound but this didn't work. I then took a lidocaine gel and completely saturated the wound/gauze to numb the pain enough to slowly pull the gauze from the wound. The profuse bleeding started all over again. This time, I cleaned the blood off as best I could as it would not stop and quickly applied the pad to the wound, covered that with some petroleum jelly anti-staph med (maybe not needed but I had it and keeping the wound moist is needed) and then I wrapped it all up in the brown, burlap-looking self-adhesive bandage and went about my day. Today I unwrapped it and it looked almost completely healed. I was stunned. It didn't stick but kept the wound healthy looking and protected and formed a beautiful matrix of protective material over the entire wound. Amazing stuff! I was worried. I'm so grateful that this exists. It's worth every penny.

Good product
Good for deep sores that may leave a scar. Just put it in with your bandage on top of the sore. You can even cut it to fit that way you don’t use a whole one. So you can get several usageis out of one patch.

Effective, but overpriced
These collagen gauze pads are effective and I do like the results. However, they’re too expensive for what you get. I would consider buying them again if the price was lower, but at the current price, I don’t feel they’re worth it.

Expensive so use it wisely just cut it
Ok so it is expensive just be smart about it used it once or twice a week and cut it tiny put like a drop of water it will become soft jelly like and put it and cover it wet gauze but you must squeeze the water from the gauze before you go and do wet to dry dressing. If you noticed your wound more on the dry side just very little hydrogel with it. It is really good it will tickle little but worth it
