More than I expected
I thought this was just going to be a super cute book of cats doing yoga poses, but wow, it's way more than that! I'm currently in a yoga teacher training program and its got all kinds of quotes from the books we are reading from and excellent wording for instructions on how to get into each pose that is pictured. I love the letter from Pippy! This book was much more than I expected, and I'm so happy I bought it.

Take the thirty day challenge!
Leading with the notion that cats are the original yoga masters, Hodges' personal, thoughtful book is sweet, touching and laugh-out-loud funny. I highly recommend it to yoga and feline-lovers everywhere!

Not for toddlers
I returned this because I thought it would be a good book for a toddler but the cat pictures were few and far between and way too small. It was for adults and mostly text. It may be a good book, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

A treasure trove of feline wisdom that applies to life in general, not just yoga
I’m pretty sure cats are the original yoga masters. After all, who better to show us the importance of meditating, and keeping our mind and body flexible and strong? Yogi Cats explores the connection between yoga and cats with a combination of practical advice, quotes by famous yoga practitioners, and a healthy dose of feline wisdom. Accompanied by whimsical illustrations, this little book is a treasure.Yoga and cats have always been a huge part of author Paige Hodges’ life. She has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years, and a few years ago, she combined her love of yoga and cats into founding her company, Feline Yogi, which offers yoga mats and toys for cats.Filled with little gems like “calm your breathing with your feline companion, taking slow deep breaths with every purr” and “cats are nice but catty people aren’t,” the book is organized into seven sections: Breath and Body, Meditation, Demons Inside and Out, Perseverance and Discipline, Self-Discovery, God and Spirituality, and Happiness and Well-being.The book also offers a 30-day yoga challenge to motivate you to begin a yoga practice or deepen your existing practice, complete with some words of encouragement from Pippy, the Feline Yogi, who even addresses the age old question asked by cats around the world: “Why is the downward facing dog pose not called downward facing cat pose?”If you already have a yoga practice, this little book is a wonderful way to deepen it and include your feline companions. If you don’t have one, this book will motivate you to get started. But even if you don’t practice yoga, this book will offer inspurration and feline wisdom that applies to life in general, not just yoga.

Feline Enlightenment Lite
Cat lovers know all cats are Zen masters but they're yogi masters too. This slim illustrated "how to" shares cats doing real yoga poses aimed for humans. The author adds instructions for each pose and added insights from famous quotes. The playful style is cute or what I call "enlightenment lite" but the message is profound.
