I’ve tried others that were not 100% stable. They’d either move around because the clamp to the vent fin is not strong enough over time or because the clamp is attached to a movable part. Installing it on my vent was fairly simple. The most difficult part was figuring out where I wanted to put it so it would sit flat on the vent. Once tightened into place with the hook at the back and the fin in the notch, it was 100% stable and did not move. It was just a matter of snapping the phone holder onto the ball joint and tightening the nut. Hitting the release buttons, one or both, makes the arms spread open smoothly. The bottom feet where the phone perches on can be extended manually for larger phones. Drop in your phone and squeeze the two arms against your phone. You will hear a clicking sound when doing this as there’s a locking mechanism inside. All sides of the holder that make contact with the phone has rubber/silicone padding to ensure it has a good grip on your phone as well as prevent any scratches. The holder can fit my Samsung S20 FE without issue with room to spare. With the perch extended all the way down, it still allows the arms to clear the power button on my phone. Newer Samsung phones have the volume and power buttons on the same side which lowers the power button and there’s no issue with this mount. I can tighten the nut on the back to provide as much tension to the ball joint to make the phone easy to angle/rotate or enough to lock the phone in place so it will not move. Driving with the phone mounted and there were some slight vibrations but nothing major. Windshield/Dash Mount: I also tested the suction mount on my windshield. The suction cup has an adhesive on it to provide additional holding power. This should allow it to work on your dash,The suction cup is sticky. It may be a good thing if you are planning on installing the holder semi-permanently. Attentions ①【Make Sure It Fully Adheres】Before mounting the suction cup on a Dashboard, please press the suction cup base hard, Press down on the locking lever to lock the suction cup and wait for 3 hours to get high stickiness. ②【Removal of the suction cup 】Please grab the small tab under the lever on the rubber part with steady pressure so that you could peel it loose from the mounting surface. ③【Clean the suction cup regularly 】Rinsing and air drying the suction cup and pad after using it for a long time can restore their stickiness. ④【Suggestions on high temperatures】 It is suggested that do not stick the suction cup on the windshield on a hot day because the glue on the bottom of the suction cup may lose stickiness when the windshield's temperature is over 104℉. Final Impression: Overall, the YRU phone car mount performed exceptionally well. The phone holder will fit the largest of phones and will hold it in place firmly but has the necessary padding to be gentle to your phones finish. The vent mount is rock solid and will not move and the windshield/dash mount is sticky. I would highly recommend this car phone mount.

I have had three different dash mount phone holders over the past two years, the last one I had worked pretty good, kept the phone right in front of me, but as the heat raise, the phone holder just start sliding off the dash. Very annoying. As an Uber driver, I need a phone mount that will stay exactly where it is set, needs to be able to hold a pretty heavy iPhone 11 in an OtterBox, looking at the description for this particular phone holder, suggested that it could handle the otterbox which was very important to me, I didn’t feel I needed to take it off every time I mounted the phone. The day before I received the phone holder, I armoralled my dashboard To make sure that it was very clean, when the Phone holder came in. I lightly dusted off my dash, used the wet and dry wipes and followed instructions carefully, holding the suction Cup firmly on the surface for about five seconds and locking it into place, it was a pretty warm day so I left the windows open, you need to wait at least 20 minutes before you put the phone in place but as long as the interior of your car isn’t too hot 10 minutes or a little less would probably be OK, don’t push your luck though lol. As you can see by my photos, the dashboard is far from flat, it does have a slight curve, but it was the most convenient spot for me to mount the holder, for some reason I thought the extension arm was much longer, but it was long enough, I could reach it quite well from my seated position and not have to stretch or lean forward to reach my phone. I have had the mount for about a week now, I do roughly 700 miles a week with Uber, driving over some very rough city roads and a few dirt back roads on occasion, all the tightening screws and suction cup are doing exactly exactly what they should. I like the fact that you can easily adjust the direction by just lifting up the back clip and making small adjustments, tightening the screws, including the one that adjust the angle of your phone, they are extremely tight and I feel that the entire device will stay in place for a long time. I’ve not had to take the mount off the Dashboard so I can’t attest to the fact that it would stick down again after giving it a light wash, I’m sure that it is more than capable of doing that after reading several of the other reviews here. I think the people that had issues with the mount not sticking more than likely didn’t follow the instructions very closely so I pretty much ignored their reviews. The Mount holds the phone very securely, I like the fact that the foot of the mount is angled back on the two little rubber feet. Certainly helps keep it in place. I would definitely recommend this mount, it is well worth the cost.

I mounted this at eye level on the driver’s side, so I don’t have to look down at the dashboard. It can be moved and sticks securely anywhere on the windshield or dashboard. Switching between horizontal and vertical is smooth and super handy. Best of all, the quick-release and grip on the phone are excellent, and the suction strength is outstanding. Overall, a reliable, easy-to-use mount that stays put.

Straight to the point: This product is not as effective during extreme heat. However, this product has a whole is very well put together and overall my favorite compared to similar products. See below for more in depth review. I purchased and received this product just before we were hit with a heat wave. During cooler temperatures, I had no issues with the product remaining fixed onto the surface I put it. When the temperatures soared to high heat (80-90* weather) and it baked under the sun, that’s when the suction cup would fail. This was an easy fix however once I let my vehicle cool down with the AC. The suction cup does work for multiple uses/application. I love how the arm allows you to adjust the phone to a higher or lower position and has a locking mechanism to keep it from moving up or down when set. This was a great features to ensure I have an unobstructed view of my display/rear view camera. I especially love the quick release button that allows me to easily remove my phone. The previous mount I used would attach to the vent and the constant force of quickly placing the phone on the mount and quickly taking it off eventually led to the vent becoming detached/broken. I also really enjoy the fact that I can have my phone mounted vertically, horizontally and even canted to the left or right. Overall, I think this product is very effective and well worth the money. I think this is a competitive product that in my opinion out performed any other variation of this product I have previously used. My only wish is that the suction cup was a bit stronger or more resistant to heat, but to be fair, it should be expected with this kind of product. I recommend this product to anyone unless you live in an area that is prone to more frequent high temperatures. Otherwise, this product just fit your needs!

Content: I was skeptical that the suction cup could hold strongly on the textured surface of my Opel Insignia 2009. I was wrong. The suction cup is very sticky and pliable. It seemed to form a very good seal. The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in a box. What’s in the box: 1*Suction Cup Mount 1*Adjustable Phone Holder, 1*YRU Cable Manager clip, 1*Sturdy Air Vent Clip, 1*User Manual, 1*Beautiful Packaging Box I think my favorite part of this is just how easy it is to get my smartphone in and out of it and how securely it holds it. The portion that holds the cellphone can accommodate a fairly large phone even with a case on it. The sides that hold it in expand automatically with the press of 2 side buttons - that my friends, is absolutely wonderful! Very simple to set up; simply remove the dial from the ball socket, slip the nut over the ball and then push the holder in place. Secure by screwing the nut and you are done. Easy. The base is secured to the dashboard with a secure suction and sticky substance. Before you stick down the base, figure out how and which way you would like to adjust your cellphone from and work it out. While you can reposition it at any time with a quick wash, best to work that out and get it right the first time. Then you simply wipe down your dashboard with the included wet and dry wipes, then stick the base down. Next, you push the suction tab down and voila, again, easy and done. There is also an included vent option, which seems easy enough to install, though I did not try this myself. While both mounts are very well made, the suction cup mount was my solution for I have a massive flat front windshield in the front of my cab. The kit contained good instructions for the proper mounting of their product as well as both alcohol cleaning and drying swabs. The suction cup is very tacky and once mounted on a smooth, properly cleaned surface it is nearly impossible to pull off without breaking the suction seal first! I noticed it does shake a little while driving as i extended the telescopic arm all the way,but that's acceptable.I always had to find the end of the charging cable but with the cable organizer attachment ,you can clip the cables to it and its always there for you .this phone holder is really well designed and made . This appears to be a True Military-Grade (more stable suction cup) of an existing model and I'm glad to see that continuous efforts have been made for product improvements. I tested it alongside three others and this was by far the most stable, making it currently my mount of choice. It Is perfect in every way: ✅ = Double Release Buttons, Double Convenience. When I get out of the car, I can quickly take out my phone, and now my hand has a memory point, quickly press the release button. The Release buttons are big and long and fit perfectly into my fingers. I used to use a single-button stand, and every time I reached for the phone, I had to look for the release button. The back key bracket on the market is very embarrassing for friends or family in the passenger seat, and everyone does not know where the hidden release key is. ✅ =Unique Shock-proof Stabilizers. Good stabilizer design, each time I stretched the telescopic arm and put it into the stabilizer's notch, making the bracket more stable. It is not a product, it is a SOLUTION. From the moment you hold this car holder in your hands, you realize that someone took their time adding quality parts, engineering, and design to come up with this solid car holder. ✅ = Rotatable Suction Cup, Any Adjustable Angle. The best part is that the suction cup base can be rotated right or left at a 360° angle when the "LOCK" button is unlocked. The suction cup is one of the strongest I've come across thus far. Of course, just like any other suction cup (and to a lesser degree for adhesives), they are less likely to work properly with unclean/dusty, uneven, or porous surfaces. The sticky gel is softer than what I've seen before and it appears to have strong adhesive properties in comparison with many that I've seen in the past. I had trouble removing it from my dash after a quick test drive of the suction cup. ✅ = Alloy Extendable Arm. If the holder is just a bit too far to reach or if you simply wanna move it out of the way (from the windshield), etc. The height or the angle can also be adjusted via the knob at the base as well in addition to the ball joint at the back of the holder. ✅ = Good for big phones. I have a big phone with an even bigger thick case, 6 3/4" long and just under 1/2" thick and it was securely held in place in the holder. Driving around my phone did not fall out once. The angles are tight and stay in place, even with my heavy phone. You can have your phone hang over the dash and keep it up with the little stand piece they supply but to be safe it's best to have the phone holder further back on the dash so your phone rests on the dashboard rather than hanging over. The suction was securely held in place over a few days on the dashboard. If you're like me you'll take it with you while traveling in different cars so be sure to keep the suction cup clean. ✅ =Excellent suction power - almost too good! I installed this phone holder on a window. I put it on my front quarter window so that it would be out of the way and the phone holder section sits supported by my dashboard quite nicely. I did try to see if it could be easily removed....and the answer to that is NO - it is stuck fast to my window and doesn't feel like it is going to come off there any time soon! The unit comes with separate support that can be mounted behind the phone holder to support the arm and make it more stable if you are fixing the suction part to your dashboard. ✅ = Easy to Install. It's silicon (sticky) suction disc doesn't need the tensioner to stay put on a window but does firmly lock it into place. The lock offs on the adjustable parts hold firm. I got mine to hold to a vauxhall slightly curved dash board top with very little effort
