Good selection of sizes did the job I needed

At the time of this review, you can have this box of 200 grub screws for around £4. I was searching for a grub screw, in my case, it was to fix bicycle lock. The barrel of the bicycle lock was held in place by a little grub screw, the lock still worked perfectly but vibration, probably when tiding the bike meant it slowly work this way loose. The lock still work perfectly, but when in the unlock position it meant the barrel could just slide out. I had some calipers was able to measure the size of the hole and the depth of the hole, so I knew what I needed. I looked around the Internet and various websites, looking for just a couple of grub screws. I’ve looked on the websites for places that sell, “screws …” and “tools…” i was was unable to find just a few grub screws at a reasonable price, maybe a pound or more is what I think would be a reasonable price. Ultimately was left disappointed by the lack of availability of just a small bag of grub screws of the right size. I had owned this bike lock for less than a year. I contacted the manufacturers via Amazon and ask them to send me a grub screw so I could put it back together. The response I received from “ Vie Velo” within about 10 minutes, was to say they couldn’t send me a grub screw. They asked me just to buy a new bike lock set on Amazon, which was nearly £70, and they would refund me the cost ! Sometimes people go above and beyond with customer service, so I took them up on the offer and they were true to their word and refunded the cost. I ordered this set of grub screws, and within two minutes of getting them I was able to insert a new grub screw in the right place and make the original lock viable again. I have a glue gun with some black glue sticks which will very nicely block the Allen key entry point for the grub screw, and hopefully stop it dropping out again. This set of grub screws seems really well-made and well engineered. The plastic box is not a completely cheap rubbish Chinese plastic box. It’s half decent with a blue plastic catch to secure it closes properly. I may now go round all my doorhandles they were bought from Magnet, they have little grub screws underneath, some of those have been falling out and I will use some of these grub screws to replace them. Although to be honest, I’m really not sure what those grub screws were doing because the handles where the grub screw fell out, haven’t come off. Most of the set won’t get used immediately but it made more sense to spend £4 for a nice plastic box with all these different sizes in it, than spend £3 on 10 grub screws and only use one of them. I hope you find this review helpful, I recommend this set.

Loved this product. I do a lot of woodworking repairs, so a very handy pack to have in the toolbox.

Great set of grub screws these are ideal to keep in the van as I fit out quiet a few bathrooms and the small grub screws for taps are sometimes missing so it's ideal to have some spares

Good value for money

In the box I received the grub screws are all in the wrong compartments for the labels.

Did the job I needed, attached curtain pole end finials that I had no grub screws for. More pieces than I need but nice little kit.
