Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Loaf Pan, PFAS-Free, 8.5 Inches

I recently got this loaf pan and it’s quickly become my go-to for baking bread, meatloaf, and even some sweet loaf cakes. This pan is heavy-duty and pre-seasoned, so it heats evenly and gives that nice crust you want on homemade loaves, and I haven't been using it for that long, but it seems like it will hold up over time. The shape is great, and the dual handles make it easy to get in and out of the oven, considering how heavy it is. The only issue I've had is that cleaning in the corners can be a bit of a hassle—especially if you don’t use parchment or soak it right after baking. Even if you don't use parchment it has a non-stick layer so its easy to release the bread. Overall, it’s a cheap, but good quality version of a classic piece of cookware that’s great if you like homemade breads and want a durable, versatile pan.

Wow! yesterday was the first time using any kind of cast iron. I wanted to start using cast iron for baking bread instead of using glass. It took less time to bake the two loaves of bread. Before using I seasoned it, after receiving it, and right before I baked my bread I used Avocado oil to grease the inside and then wiped as much of the oil as I could. Wala my bread came out so easily. I was amazed. I heard so many people say they couldn't get their bread out of the pan, and they had a terrible mess, and told people to use parchment paper instead of placing the bread dough right into the pan. My mother used to use cast iron skillet. I will have to get them out and clean them up and seasoned them. I am thinking about purchasing the Lodge 5 qt. Dutch oven. I want to get away from all non-organic baking pans. I highly recommend the Lodge bread pans. It is not that expensive, and not that heavy either. You will have them for years, but the main thing is you will have to season it well or else you will have a mess to deal with.

I am OBSESSED with this pan! I make one person meals where I put veggies on the bottom and a protein like salmon on the top. It cooks well, works well, is seasoned well so it is easy to clean and cook with. It is so handy for loafs and single meals, I love it!!

This is the best pan that I used for sourdough. I wish that I had bought this in the beginning! It is the perfect size, weight, non-stick pan. Bread pops out after baking. I didn’t need all the extra lifts, parchment, or anything else like I use for my round bread! The weight is perfect as I am in my seventies and it was easy to handle., All you do is rinse it out, dry thoroughly and coat it w oil. Then drop your dough in! I baked it with a steam pan in my oven and it’s the best loaf I’ve ever baked! DO NOT USE SOAP on these pans. There should be at least 10 stars for this pan! Love Lodge!

The cast iron loaf pan is nice. What isn’t nice is that someone at the Amazon fulfillment center put a HEAVY cast iron pan into a thin brown shipping envelope along with other very small items. The envelope was literally torn in half when it was delivered. Do better Amazon. Surely someone should have stopped to think about putting a very heavy metal object into a paper shipping envelope.

Actually bought to cook beans etc on my Blackstone. Good quality & works well. Good purchase.

Just as expected from lodge. Great quality and will last forever. A bit inconvenient to wash by hand and dry thoroughly (just like any cast iron pan) but it’s still worth it knowing there are no chemicals leaching into the food. If you are hesitant just buy it - you won’t regret it
