Perfect Shawarma Seasoning for Oven-Baked Chicken Shawarma
I’ve purchased this shawarma seasoning several times and it’s consistently excellent. The spices taste fresh and the flavor is perfectly balanced. How I use it: I marinate chicken thighs overnight with this shawarma seasoning and a little lemon juice. Then I layer the chicken on a skewer and bake it in the oven at 350°F for about 30–45 minutes until the outside gets crispy. Serving idea: We usually serve it with tzatziki sauce, hummus, and warm pita bread. It tastes like authentic chicken shawarma at home. Or we make salads out of it. Packaging: The resealable bag keeps the spices fresh much longer. Highly recommend this shawarma spice blend if you enjoy making flavorful Middle Eastern food at home.

Delicious! I'm not too knowledgeable about middle-eastern cooking, but this mix is pretty close to what I had in Kuwait while deployed. It's really good on chicken!

Very tasty!
This is a very flavorful Shawarma spice blend. The only thing you need to do is add salt to it, marinate your meat and let it sit for a few hours or overnight for the most flavor. I usually poke my meat repeatedly with a fork like I'm mad at it to tenderize it and then I drizzle it with olive oil after I season it. Then I cover it and let it rest in the fridge until an hour before I plan on cooking it. You can slap your protein on the grill or throw it in the air fryer. This is a great spice blend and I would definitely buy it again. I transferred this to a spice jar to keep it away from the plastic pouch that it came in.

Just made my chicken taste out of this world
I made chicken shwarma and its so easy but it would not have tasted so good without this seasoning. Add so much flavor and looks so pretty. My low-calorie, low-fat, low-cholesterol chicken shwarma, its too easy. You will need an air-tight container so you can keep the chicken marinating in the fridge overnight. You will need a high-sided baking pan. Large mixing bowl. two level tablespoons of this spice mix, Juice of one lemon. Lots of garlic crushed or granulated, about one tablespoon or three cloves of garlic. Half an onion sliced into medium-sized semi-circles. Ground Pepper, about half to 3/4 teaspoon, I love course ground pepper, so adjust to your way. 1/2 tea spoon of salt Two tablespoons of Low-fat plain yogurt. Two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Two large skinless boneless chicken breasts pat dry with kitchen towel or if you want to make more and freeze just double the quantity. Slice up your chicken in wide strips and pop in a bowl. Add all the ingredients and mix thoroughly, coating the chicken. Leave in the fridge overnight. When ready to cook, preheat oven to 420 degrees Fahrenheit. Take the mixture out of the fridge, stir it and if there is lots of liquid at the bottom, you can discard some… not all. Pop in a baking pan and leave in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until the top looks almost singed, you don’t want to burn it black but leave as long as you can in the oven. Take out of the oven and let it cool a bit, turn upside down onto a surface, and with a sharp knife cut small cubes widthwise. Serve with low-carb pita and salad. I used carb-free tortillas and homemade tzatziki and omg... try it
