The chipboard around the hinges has broken will this cover the damage and give me something to fit the hinges to

This will cover the damage and hinges will fit on the plate as there is a hole. However it didn’t fit mine as the product don’t have the right measure hole on the plate to screw on so my purchase was wasted. Wouldn’t recommend these ones
