These are nylon strings with metal wrapping. If your guitar requires nylon strings . But you like the steel string sound and feel . These work. The nylon does all the stretching at the core. The steel wrap is for sound.

Sound great but not for long

I love how they sound. Very bright and clear! You pay for it with a shorter than average lifetime though. I've had them for two weeks and they are already sounding quite dry.
