so far this has been an excellent little fan. it moves a lot of air and is relatively quiet even on its highest setting. the controls are easy to use – one button for the speed and another button to change the direction of the airflow. i like having the remote so i can control the fan from the bed. one benefit of this one compared to others i saw was that the width of the fan can extend up to 37" ! one thing to note is that you have to be mindful of the clips for the expansion parts - sometimes they may slip a bit. this is less of an issue if you're using it horizontally, but mine is installed vertically. means that the expansion parts need to support the weight of the fan. when you press the buttons there is a pretty loud, annoying beep. other than that, it's great. i'm planning on getting another one for a second window. 4.5 stars !

The fan works great in terms of power and the option to move air either in, out, or both simultaneously. My only complaint, and it is a significant one, is the loud noise it generates, especially when operating at high speeds. This issue is compounded by the fact that there is no cover for the fan when not in use, a feature offered by many other fans we considered. As we do not have an exhaust fan in our bathroom, we purchased this fan for that purpose. However, since we also have central air, we have to put the fan in the window before a shower and remove it immediately after. A cover would have been a simple solution to this inconvenience and would have improved the overall experience. While the fan is effective at moving air, I would likely choose a different model next time due to the noise and lack of a cover.

We have had this fan about a month. We purchased this fan because we got rid of our window ac unit which was getting moldy, and wanted another option to cool our bedroom at night. We have been using this fan through the winter so far and love the options it has on it to reverse one or both fan blades! In “cool” mode it blows cool outside air into the room at night. It can be turned on low medium or high. For when it gets too cold, we can turn it to “exhaust” to reverse both fan blades to blow out air instead of drawing air inside. It provides us with the fan sound but really no change in temperature. When we want just a little cool air, we can turn it to “circulate” where one fan blade blows in cool air, and the other fan blade blows out air. This fan is wonderful! The fan sits nicely in our window and we don’t care much about getting a tight seal since we can leave the window screen completely in and the fan still fits inside the window. The only issue we have had is not much of a problem - the remote doesn’t always work. But I think I have figured out the problem. I believe it just doesn’t reach a signal very far away from the fan…maybe 4 feet maximum, I’m guessing? So I have learned to lean toward the fan when I want to use the remote and it works! But for the efficiency of how well the fan works for our needs, we don’t mind an occasional mis-working remote. We really do love this fan! Highly recommend!! If we happen to have any issues, we will be sure to edit our review.

I got this fan today, unboxed it, and installed it. This is great, in concept only. There were multiple issues I found with the product upon installing and using, First of all, the overall plastic covering the fan is rather flimsy. If looking at the back of the fan, you can easily see the plastic is not straight and is curved. That's not a big deal, but its something to consider. Next, the extenders. The extenders are plastic as is everything else. However, the biggest problem with the extender is unable to lock it in place. There are a total of 11 increments you can choose to adjust the length to. However, the lock doesn't lock it into place because of the flimsy plastic material. A little nudge or push and the extender shrinks again. I put my fan vertically so its standing. The extender cannot support the weight of the fan and there's no way to keep it in place. I literally had to use tape and tape the extender and lock so that I could keep it in place. I've had the fan running through the night. The overall noise of the fan is quiet, as quiet as a fan should be. It is rather powerful. HOWEVER, every once in a while, there will be a noise coming from one of the fans, like it's a loose blade hitting on the plastic or something. The sound comes and goes. I wanted to like this product. If it wasn't for the above mentioned flaws, I think this would be a great product. Some other reviewers also has similar issues so I'm assuming its not just me that has had to deal with this. This shouldn't have to be a gamble and take your chances on a product with risk of getting a bad product with flaws. It's too much of a hassle. There's not enough time in the day, we don't want to buy a product and it comes with problems. Maybe another brand would have better quality...

My feelings on this one are mixed. It does the job but seems cheaply made. The noise is very loud and distracting. Not recommended for bedrooms/living rooms or any space where noise may be an issue. Pro's : Larger than most other available window units, good airflow - moves air well, easy to use, multiple airflow settings Cons : Motors make a loud buzzing noise that sounds like an electrical transformer, One of the fans looks a bit wobbly and is making a little noise, the range on the remote is only about 2ft - worthless

This is one of the smartest buys I’ve ever made! This fan is OUTSTANDING!! I live in Southern California where the humidity is low, and it gets hot during the day, but cool at night. The design of my house does not allow for a “whole house fan” but this is the next best thing! I purchased two of these; one for my daughter’s bed room, and one for mine. I run them on the ‘Exhaust’ setting in the hot afternoons to vent all the warm air when the sun is hitting our house broadside. In the evenings, I switch it and run it on the ‘Cool’ setting and it sucks in all the cool air from outside. With these fans running, our bedrooms get equally as cool as running the Central Air Conditioner. Both of our bedrooms get down as low as 64° at night. And again - in Southern California, not needing to run the air conditioning is a MAJOR money saver!! These fans do make a LITTLE BIT of noise. The hum of the fan is probably what you would expect a fan to sound like, but the bearings (I think) chatter a little bit and make an occasional very faint, but noticeable clicking sound. My daughter has had this fan in her room, and runs it daily / nightly for over 4 months, and has been great. Based on the solid performance of hers, and how well the design fits and seals into our windows, I decided to get a second one for. Y room. But honestly - they function SO WELL, if they both broke tomorrow, I’d buy two more without hesitation! I wish I had found and bought these YEARS AGO!!

This fan looks small , but it is a powerful little guy!! I have it in my bedroom window and need a blanket every night which is highly unusual for me !! I love the convenience of the remote and the ability to change the modes from my night stand during the night ! It is also very quiet and all you hear is the soft soothing sound of the wind ! I absolutely love it! I am going to buy a few more for the other rooms in my house ! Oh, and they are extremely easy to adjust and put in !

This has been so perfect for me - my room gets very hot in the winter - and the choices between bringing in fresh air sending out hot stale air and or a bit of each at once (the one I use the most - has been a life saver to me in getting my sleep at night. And if starts to get to cold the remote means I don’t have fully wake up to turn it off I can do it from bed !!!

Works well with great features. It does make an odd humming noise which is slightly irritating.
