Shark repellent
Bought this for my son when he’s diving which is a Christmas gift and he hasn’t received it yet. Our neighbor has the same product and swears that it does distract sharks

Terrible quality
First unit flooded immediately on the first dive in 20-25ft of water. Second unit lasted for ~18 months and then would turn on (lights came on appropriately) but there was no electric pulse. I sent the device to the manufacturer in June for replacement. They said it wasn't a battery issue, which means to me that this is another quality failure. Despite them having had a stock of supply they still have not sent me a replacement and have just advised me (even though they said they were shipping orders placed thru July in Oct/Nov that they won't ship my replacement until sometime in December.So on top of selling terrible quality products for $500+ they also have terrible customer service.

You know this thing should attack sharks, but not divers!!!I tried it once, I am spirefisher and every time when I duck under the water it hit me. Once or twice it is acceptable, but not every time...

Peace of mind
Peace of mind while fishing on my kayak here in SoCal is priceless. I absolutely love this shield. Sure, if you grab it, you will get a light shock but knowing and seeing what follows your catch to the yak sometimes can psych a person out fast. This shield helps with the peace of mind.

I bought the Shark Shield for freediving in Northern California. It came with easy to follow instructions as well as reasonable product maintenance info. While diving you forget it is there. Moves through kelp no problem. A bit pricey but the safety & peace of mind it provides are well worth it.

Overpriced and underperforms
Bought this along with a number of other shark deterrent devices. This was the most expensive, most complex, and most inconvenient of the bunch. Terrible customer service, cumbersome and temperamental gadget, failed on first use.
