Healthy cat treats for your kitty
My vet recommended for my cat. It stopped her sneezing. She loves them and theyโre good for her. These donโt smell at all.

Cats recommend them 4 - 0
Our vet suggested these for one of our cats. The cat Beau will be on Lysin for the rest of his life and the vet cautioned that they have had issues with some cats taking the Lysin. Well not these Lysin. We have a clowder of cats and in the morning they all line up for these Lysin bites. They love the taste, it does not cause any stomach issues or diarrhea, no stool softness. The treats do not smell or have an after odor. They seem very effective and have maintained our cats energy levels. If you are purchasing a Lysin product I can tell you these are the "treat" of choice for Mimi, Beau, Bobo, and Atticus. They come and remind me it is time for their treat.

These really work and could save your cats' lives!!! These work better than the oral gel.
This review is for "Vetoquinol Enisyl-F Lysine Bites: L-Lysine Chews for Cats & Kittens - Chicken Liver-Flavor". Let me start by saying that if your cats / kittens have the herpes virus (aka feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR)) then these bites can save your cats' lives. I bought these for my sweetheart for the stray cats and kittens that she has hanging around her house that all got really, really sick and were all showing symptoms of FVR. This stuff is like a little miracle in each bite. After giving these bites to the one cat for a day, he didn't have a runny nose anymore. Then after the second day, he could meow again and the crusty stuff on his nose was gone. Then after the third day, the crusty stuff on his eye was going away, and he could open his eye again. By the fifth day, the respiratory problem seemed to be going away, and he could breathe right again. Now I'm not a vet nor is my sweetheart, so we can't say positively that these bites are a cure and didn't just help with the symptoms. BUT, these bites also helped some other cats and some kittens that had the exact same symptoms going on, and they got "better" also and just as quickly. I can't see where that is just a coincidence. We firmly believe that these bites helped save the lives of those cats / kittens. Now anytime the cats get a runny nose or something like that then my sweetheart gives them these bites for a few days and it seems to clear it right up. I had previously purchased the Vetoquinol oral gel for her for the cats and that seemed to work really well. These bites work SOOO much better and the cats seem to love the taste. (The oral gel must not taste as good because the cats didn't want to eat it after a while even though they seemed to love the taste in the beginning.) We highly recommend these bites and will definitely be buying more of these bites instead of the gel. They really work!!!!! Hope this helps and have a great and blessed day! :)

Too many empty calories for something not proven to work
I have two year-&-a-half old rescue kitties, one of whom has chronic respiratory symptoms from feline herpes virus (stuffy nose, sneezing fits, runny eye) so I decided to give Lysine a try with her. I am fully aware of the fact that there's no conclusive proof that lysine helps cats with herpes, and blocking arginine uptake may be detrimental for cats, but I thought it may be worth a trial. I didn't just want to add the powdered version to her food since they share bowls and the other kitty doesn't need to be taking it, so I got these treats. Pros: both cats like them and will eat them without coercion. Cons: the cat who needs to be taking them has a compromised sense of smell and can't breathe well through her nose, so in the time it takes her to find and then chew up (they appear to be quite tough) ONE treat, her sister has stolen and gulped down at least five๐คฆ. I also noticed that the ingredients include corn, salt, and SUGAR, none of which a cat needs to be eating. Finally, you're supposed to give your cat twelve of these treats twice a day. My sniffly kitty is already kind of chunky, she doesn't need 24 junky treats a day! Luckily her sister (who doesn't need lysine) is much skinnier, since she's the one who ultimately got to eat them all the couple of times I tried to give them to them. Yes, I know I could just separate them, but I seriously don't have time to watch my poor mouth-breathing tuxy work her way through 12 (or even 5) treats at the pace of a toothless snail. The cats love them, but I hate them๐คฆ. We don't give our cats treats in general so maybe I'll try again with a powder (if the ingredients are healthy) but in the meantime these spoiled monsters are getting a high-quality warm-mist humidifier instead ๐คท

Easy to Give and My Cat Actually Likes Them
These lysine bites have been easy to give my cat, and thatโs a big win. My cat usually turns away from supplements, but these are much easier than pills or powders, and the chew size is convenient. I also like that theyโre simple to add to our daily routine. The bites seem well made, and theyโve been a practical option for keeping my cat on a consistent supplement schedule. Overall, Iโm happy with the product and would buy it again. The only downside is that they doubled the price over the last five years.

Good treats, cheap bag
2 out of my 3 cats will eat them. Iโm sure the treats are good quality, but for $30, can you use a better bag? The reseal seam ripped to one side after 4 openings. Now I use a chip clip on a $30 bag. Do better Vetoquinol.

Kittens love them, pricey though
I adopted two kittens from the local shelter, they both love these bits they are a good size and thickness, in addition to the flavor. They do seem to help them I notice less sneezing or other issues. However they tend to get really hard before they can finish a bag and I go through one bag in two weeks giving them to two kittens twice a day they are both over 6 months old I give them 7-8 each twice a day instead of what the bag says of 12 twice a day. Here lately it seems like they donโt really want them because they have become too hard to eat. Value for the money is not as good as Iโd like, they are expensive. I know quality products cost more. Considering that I am feeding two kittens, with taxes it is around $48 a month for two bags for just supplements that help their immune system. I may have to look into another brand as it is a bit costly when you add in what I pay for kitten food, litter and any other extras for two.

Good supplement for cats
Not sure about how it tastes, but my cat loves it. He tries to go after these first if he's not "hungry". Not sure if it's from this but my cat has very soft fur. It smells like cat food and is easy to drop the required amount in his bowl. Seems to work well. Looks good.

Cat goes crazy for these "treats"
Our 10-year-old, male cat absolutely loves these. I gave him one to sample and he tried climbing up my leg to get to the bag in my hand immediately afterwards, this is not something he does. It has only been a few days that he has been taking them now, so not sure of the health benefit effect, very much hoping they help with his upper congestion & sneezing, which doesn't seem to be getting much better no matter what the vet prescribes.

Can't even cut them with the knife!!!
We have 3 cats in our household and all of them refuse to it these treats. One of my cats tried a piece and immediately spat it out. I totally understood why when I tried to chop one piece with a knife to add it to their wet food.....they are so hard to cut, never mind about chewing these things! Whole package went strait to the garbage!
