First bite I thought it was a bit salty, but then the sweet kicks in and it's a perfect balance. Very few hulls attached to the popcorn compared to other kettle corn brands. They use the mushroom style popcorn so it has big and fluffy kernels. It's double bagged so it stays fresh a very long time.Never gone wrong with buying Colby Ridge - can't say the same trying other brands and other types of popcorn.

Yum! We love kettle corn. This was very fresh and stayed fresh for quite a long time. This brand has very,very good flavor!!! Originally purchased with intent to bag up to include with christmas gifts,but was inadvertently left behind,so we had to eat it all ourselves. (Bummer,right?!) So we bought this in, i believe it was October or november. I bagged it up into some quart sized bags and some gallon sized bags and stored those in plastic totes. i dont remember how many of each size (qt/gal) i got,but there were 2 plastic totes full,plus a couple of grocery bags. Lots of popcorn here! So we munched and munched and didn't get a stale bag until the end of march. we like kettle corn so much we ate the stale stuff anyway,haha. There were only a few bags that we had to suffer through staleness,so it wasnt horrible.

as plain popcorn, this stuff is seems to be of great quality with a very high percentage of kernels popped up large into an almost spherical shape - amazingly uniform. i'm not sure whether this is air-popped or popped in oil or what, but they seem to have the popping process perfected. the husks are barely noticeable, thin and crispy and contribute to the pleasant texture.the batch i got arrived in about 3 days, was well-packed and sealed and seemed fresh.as *kettle* corn, for me the flavor it is all about getting the right balance of salt vs sweet, and to my taste this leans slightly too much toward the sweet side. it could benefit from a bit more salt and a bit less sugar.price is 1/3 to 1/5 of the cheapest normally-packaged kettle corn you can find, so if you can deal with "bulk" style and can use it before it goes stale, it is a good deal. obviously you'll want to love kettle corn and/or have a big group to serve to use this much. i assume it will have decent shelf life.overall, i'd rate it very good.

Opened the box. Smelled great tasted a piece, delicious. Upon inspection tons of black flecks and spots on all pieces. Did not taste burnt so don’t know what these flecks are. Some are tiny some are large. Would definitely not be able to sell this to the public at our fall fest. Waiting to hear back from company.

I bought this to make 150 party favors. It worked out great! The popcorn was fresh, and stayed that way for a couple of weeks, as long as the bag was kept sealed. Because I had so many favors to make, I didn't make them all in one sitting, I worked on them over a weeks time. Through that process the popcorn stayed tasty and fresh!Unfortunately, the main bag was left open overnight about 2 weeks after I bought it. I am thankful that all the favors where already made. The popcorn was no good after that. It became sticky and chewy. That was our fault, but it would have been nice to know how fresh it would have stayed if the bag wasn't left open.

Order two of these for a big party that I had years ago. It was so good! We even had enough left over to eat for the rest of the week.
