Belinous Leather Steering Wheel Cover Lace Up (Size M4, Black)

Fits great and has an OEM like fitment. I like the lower profile as well. Other more expensive covers are to bulky and look ugly. This one was inexpensive but it took me about an hr to install. I used a baseball stitch which added time but if you are going to do it might as well take the time and do it right. It’s definitely worth the added time to incorporate a more athletic stitch. I was surprised how soft it was and the overall feel of it. Not sticky and not to smooth. The black leather perfectly matches the center leather grain plastic piece on my 2018 Ram. Make sure to look up the dimensions of your steering wheel to get the perfect fit.

Great deal for a steering wheel cover for my GMC yukon could not be more satisfied. Real leather already has stitching holes and comes with three lengths of thick waxed nylon stitching thread and three stitching needles. My size was L4 and it fit perfect. Dont be afraid to pull it tight when stitching and add a double stitch here and there. When done tie the knot and burn it make it stick. Works well great price and now my hands are no longer turning black when driving. I am a 53 year old guy who does not sew but i did when this came in so i am confident you will have no issue getting this done maybe in half the time as I did. Took me 30 min and the cover makes the steering wheel look new.

I bought this to cover the worn out steering wheel on my 2008 Honda CRV. I previously had a “pleather” steering wheel cover from Advance Auto, and this is soooo much better! It’s genuine leather, and it looks and fits great if you follow the size chart. Tip #1: After sliding the cover over your steering wheel (with the seem in the center, at the bottom), line up all the holes with their counterpart on the other side before you begin stitching. It will look a lot neater if it’s lined up perfectly. I used a mirror to count the empty holes behind each spoke, and then marked my starting and stopping holes on both sides with a metallic Sharpie to make sure it stayed lined up well, with no wrinkles or stitching errors. Tip #2: If your steering wheel is thicker at the 10 & 2 positions, you may need to stretch the leather to avoid a gap there. Even though I ordered the correct size, based on the thicker circumference at my 10 & 2 positions, I had a gap between the leather when I got to the 10:00 position. No matter how tightly I pulled the thread, I couldn’t close the gap, so I thought it was too small. When I got to the 2:00 position, it occurred to me that maybe I could stretch the leather to fit. So I got 2 pairs of pliers and pulled both sides of the leather to stretch it a little, and then I was able to stitch it closed without a gap there. Tip #3: Rather than using “dummy” stitches in front of and behind the spokes, I tucked the leather under. As long as it’s stitched tightly on both sides of the spokes, it should stay tucked with no problem. I did tuck a small piece of double-sided tape underneath to hold it in place until I got it stitched on both sides. There are several ways you can sew the cover on. The quickest and easiest way would be the straight-stitch. I opted to cross-stitch mine, because I think it looks neater and more professional. Cross-stitching requires more time, more thread, and simultaneously using 2 needles. Therefore, I appreciated that Bellinous included 3 LONG pieces of thread, each with an attached needle, which was more than enough to get the job done. The installation took me approximately 3-1/2 hours. I’m attaching photos and a video of the finished product. I wanted to video the stitching process, but I didn’t have any way to hold the camera at those awkward angles. If Bellinous wants to send me a couple small leather samples and thread, I’d be happy to make an instructional cross-stitch video. I am very happy with the quality, fit, and final appearance of this steering wheel cover. I expect it will last a lot longer than the cheap slip-on cover I previously had, and it was actually LESS expensive! Great quality for the price!

Car: 2022 Honda Civic Sport Hatch Size: M5 Overall this is a great looking/feeling wheel wrap. I bought this product because I wanted something that was leather and thin that would protect my Honda steering wheel and most slip on covers in the $15-$30 price range are pretty bulky, ugly and have rubber interiors (bleh). However, This wrap maintains the original wheel thickness and feels really secure and flush once finished. I will say that the M5 size did not fully cover the top grips/lumps on my 22 Honda Civic - but it wasn’t too noticeable. In total it took me about 2 hours to complete but I tried to take my time as I wanted it to look the best it possibly could. I went for a standard stitch that was easy to follow through with and not super confusing to learn. The most difficult part is keeping the stitch tight but if you just keep adjusting and tightening as you go it really helps. I broke both of the crappy needles they provide and I was only about 25% through. I just went out and bought some steel yarn needles for a couple bucks and they help finish it up perfectly. In the end I think it looks awesome and was exactly the look I wanted. Helpful tips: 1. Lace it in sections if you can. Most of my time-consuming issues arose because I was using the entire string and it kept getting tangled, caught, knotted, etc. If you plan on using the string all at once, it does help to give yourself about a foot of length between the needle and the wheel, tie the string around the needle hoop (only once) to keep it in place as you stitch, then just let the remaining string hang (just be sure to keep pulling the access through with each stitch so it doesn’t get stuck) 2. Buy backup needles before you start. Considering my needles broke so quick, it’s likely going to happen to you at some point… it’s majorly frustrating having to go to the store with a half laced wheel wrap and gobs of string hanging from it. Personally, I would’ve rather had some back ups on-hand so i didn’t have to stop right in the thick of things. 3. Tighten as you go. This will help in the long run as it gets more and more difficult to tighten the further away from the stitch you go. 4. Get a tightening tool. I would suggest something like a knitting tool with a small hook on one end. I did not have one and I was able to tighten using the other needles I had BUT I definitely think if I had a tool it would’ve been much easier and would’ve save a lot of time. 5. Have patience. The faster you want to get this done, the longer it will take. I suggest going extra slow to try and avoid making mistakes. Like I mentioned above, a lot of time was wasted fixing silly mistakes.

This actually worked very well and appears to be of very good quality. They also provided two needles and more than enough thread to lace it up. The only issue is installing it and stitching it together with the included thread. Took me a while to get the hang of it and I changed my technique a couple of times before I was happy, so it ended up taking a few hours total to complete. Eventually I would put the thread through one hole on each side, compress the rim with one hand as I pulled the thread very tight with the other, then used a spring loaded clamp to keep it from loosening, like having a third hand. Repeat and repeat over and over until you’re done. Very happy with the results. It comes in several diameters and widths and colors to closely fit your steering wheel so not a one-size-fits-all approach, which would not yield good results. My car is old and the foam padding on the steering wheel was deteriorating and collapsing and beginning to rip. I first wrapped the steering wheel rim using self fusing tape to build it up and compress the original foam, which was loose and coming un-adhered in some areas. I then installed the leather cover over this tape, which worked well. I was mainly interested in function but it actually looks and feels very nice. Highly recommended, but you need time and patience to install it. If I get another one for my other car I can probably install it in an hour, but it took me at least two hours just to figure out how to do it with good results. Results are well worth the effort, feels like it’s going to last for years.

Fit perfectly and came with everything needed. The string didn't rip through the pre made holes they were very strong. Directions were simple and was easy to install the cover. It has good grip and comfortable while driving. Nice cover.

So I really love this steering wheel cover though it was a lot of dedicated work to stitch on. Being real leather it has a wonderful soft grip that goes fully around the handle part of the wheel rather than those bulky all in one covers that only go around partially. The leather is good quality, thick (about 1/8”) and just the right softness. It did however take me almost 2 hours to complete its installation. I have small over 50 women’s hands but had no problem pulling the threads. I did need my husbands strength to stretch the leather over the wheel at the start, but did the long job of stitching without issue. Recommendations if you get one: 1) use a sharpie and mark the Backside Only Holes. The holes on the backside are literally impossible to see otherwise and it’s critical to be able to see them for threading the needle through. Do this before starting. The holes on the top side you can see just fine. 2) watch a video for what stitch to do (I went with the baseball stitch using two needles) 3) use needle nose pliers to tighten up about the last 5 stitches you have done. Using the pliers… count back and pull the 5th back, then 4th, 3rd, etc til you get to where you are working again. Then start another 5 stitches again. (I did the baseball stitch so in my case it’s two stitches for every one). Pull those stitches til you bring the leather close together. 4) Lastly, be patient and forgiving of yourself! When I accepted that I don’t do this for a living and this is the only way I’ll get a full grip leather wheel cover I eased up on my expectations. I had to undo mistakes several times and almost gave up. But I’m thrilled with my finished albeit imperfect job! 5) and lastly lastly… Don’t forget the scented candle hahaha Seriously though…play some enjoyable tunes to stay chill! Enjoy a real leather steering wheel!

I've never stitched anything before ever and I am happy with results! For those of you wondering, this does not come with any clear and concise instructions. (Thats why 4 stars) the leather is real and of very high quality and am very happy with the leather. I do feel I could do better again and I learned alot, but this will take you about 2hrs or so to do. This isn't a quick process but it was fun for me. I wish they would have provided more instructions. There is a paper with some literal typed out links to videos, no qr codes so you have to search the videos yourself. The videos are over a decade old and have no audio and appear to be filmed with a flip phone. Had to find another video. Highly recommend giving this a try, its way better than any buy off the shelf cover you could buy.

Worth the effort but this was hard to install. Took two hours and required careful planning and tricky adjusting especially over the larger spoke areas of the wheel. You can pull those edges tight and make it look quite natural though. By the time I got to the end I was better than when I started and wish I could fix some earlier areas but overall I’d say it looks clean and almost like new. The leather is the real deal and seems like good quality. I did a cross stitch which used two needles crisscrossing and I ran out of thread for the bottom spoke so had to use the third thread just for that part and it’s not my favourite area but it worked out.
