Q: How do you remove it without a machine on a 2014 jeep compass?

What I did after the flush was to remove the return line from the reservoir and plug off the reservoir connection. Then emptied the system into a drain pan with the engine running and adding new fluid until the reservoir was filled twice. Reconnected the reservoir return line and topped off the fluid.

You actually need to remove some of the liquid from the car, add the product, filling it to the top. After that, you turn on your car and start turning the wheel from left to right several times until you feel that the turning is soft and smooth again. After that you need to drain the deposit and put new steering fluid. According to the instructions you shouldn't leave it in for driving.
