Korg microKORG S Compact Analog Modeling Synthesizer w/ Vocoder Mini Mic and built-in Stereo Speaker System

I'm not a pro at all, but this is so well made and the range of sounds is insane, super fun. I've been playing with almost everyday. I bought a midi - usb cable to save an load presets, I got presets from Cuckoo, and it's a game changer on crazy sounds! If you like, old school video-game like sounds, this can be customized to sounds like a NES or GENESIS very easily! The key size is kinda small, so I believe this would be incredibly fun for a kid as well. I'm buying an extra one soon, to give to my nephew, pretty sure he will love this!

Everything was great except for the fact that there was no power cord to use.

I've always wanted a Microkorg, and having extra patch banks and external speakers is well worth the additional cost imo. People like to complain about the fact that the Microkorg uses a digital synth engine and argue that you might as well use a DAW in that case. Well, that may true, but I would argue that there is a satisfaction to be found in 1. a tactile interface (which is really easy to dive into with the Microkorg since everything is written right on the board) 2. an easy set up and go instrument (accentuated by the addition of speakers.) That being said, I understand if the cost seems steep to people compared to getting a MIDI interface+DAW. If you're interested in an analog product around the same range I'd recommend the Arturia Microbrute. However, the number of sounds you can get out of the MicroKorg was the draw over the Microbrute for me.

Fun little synthesiser. I like the hands on manual adjustability. The built in speaker is great. Unfortunately, Adorama sent mine with a defective power cord, stopped answering my emails re sending me a new one. I bought one from My Volts. Adorama lost a customer.

Such a great synthesizer, and portable too! I love that the speaker is beneath the keys and i can feel all of the lows. It’s so much louder than expected too! I’m sure my neighbors hate me working on music late at night (even though i try to keep the volume low), but that won’t stop the creativity rush this gave me.

Had this product for about two months and it worked great. Recently it started making these weird buzzing noises and shutting off for no reason, I haven't been rough with it at all in the time that i've had it and there really isn't any reason why this thing should be malfunctioning at all. Doesn't help that Korg makes you send them an email for product issues instead of having an open phone line to assist customers. I can honestly say im severely disappointed and absolutely furious, long story short i'm out over 500 dollars and i'm never buying something like this ever again off an online store. Truly disgusted

My son loves this synthesizer. My problem is it was sold as "new" but arrived scratched. Hmm. Anyway, he does not want to return it and has already started recording with it. Just disappointed that he paid over $500 for a scratched "new" piece of equipment.

Livraison rapide... Bien emballer..qualité du son.. Korg reste une référence... Pour ma part je découvre se module qui est rééditer et amélioré dû à sa popularité... Ceux que j'apprécie particulièrement... Car pourquoi ce privée des bonnes choses sous prétexte de nouveauté... Qui souvent déçoivent..!.. Bravo..!.. et vivement que ce regard sur le passé se propage...

Great sounds! I did purchase a better dynamic mic but very happy with it

This is a wonderful product, destined to sell bucket loads. It occupies the budget end of the synth market, but that shouldn't deter any potential buyers; it makes the classic Korg sound, which means it can do Trance and EDM sounds in it's sleep. (The oscillators are digital, but pretty damn warm.) I am so glad I bought one. Here are the best things about it: 1. its compact - space matters right? 2. the keyboard is both sturdy and springy which makes playing it pleasurable and tactile. 3. it's dead easy to use. (You can go deep into the programming I you must - I won't judge you.) 4. It looks really cool - the maple sides are kind of future - retro - I don't think there's a better looking keyboard out there. 5. the killer 'app' - it plays sounds from inside...like a piano (and uses batteries too if you want) This is no gimmick - this is the future. Korg took a classic piece of gear and made it even more reliable and awesome. Buy now!
