Definitely Protects Your Boots
As a “construction professional” I need to keep a certain professional appearance. I can’t have bike battle scarred construction boots, but I wear boots all the time. I don’t like the covers on the shifter so I figured I’d try this product. Certainly the price is reasonable. FOLLOW-UP: I’d like to update long term durability, but the protector fell off while riding several days ago. I’d like to blame user error, but it’s not complicated to use. Not sure how it fell off.The product is well made with strong rubber. The rubber does a great job covering my boot fully where it tends to hit the shifter. No marks on my boots anymore. The Velcro straps work well and are easy to use and feel secure when riding. I do have to believe though that the strap will wear out on the bottom of the boot eventually - it’s thin elastic Velcro. I’ve been using the protector now for a few weeks and no issues so far. I’ll update after several months of use.I was also a little concerned that the rubber piece would be too thick and make shifting awkward. It’s fairly thin and really just a very slight adjustment and became second nature after wearing the protector. It’s not much thicker than the protective pad on riding boots.Overall I would recommend this if you want to protect your footwear. The only other concern I would have though is if you are wearing a smooth soled shoe. The strap may slip off a bit easily. My boots have deep treads and help keep the strap in place with no slipping. Sneakers would probably be OK too.

Protects nicer shoes while riding
Saves my nicer, less durable shoes while riding. Feels funny to walk in so i just undo the velco and let it lie on top if im walking around. Works well, and fits my shoes fine. Easy to put on, and had lil velco peice to put on shoe laces so you dont have to worry about it slipping around, and allows me to keep it on withiut completely removing it while walking around

Works fine
Works as it should. Not sure how long the strap will last

A steal of a deal at $3.00 something
Works fine. It’s impossible to come off so I’m not sure what some of these people are talking about. Plus common sense should tell you, you can’t just leave it on and walk around with it on, that’s not what it’s made for . It’s a Velcro strap of course it would wear off. Your supposed to take it off when not riding. If you can’t stop the correct way without dragging your feet learn how to stop properly. You have to Velcro the one loop to your shoe lace. Easy

Thick rubber but thin fabric
Works well but the fabric holding the rubber is thin and breaks quickly.

Spare the boot, use the shifter pad
It'll save your boot, or shoe from the wear caused by the shifter on a motorcycle
