ShaktiMat Acupressure Mat for Tension Release & Relaxation, Level 3 Indigo

Beginner here! Get the level 3. I bought this because I work in a high-stress environment & I continue to feel that high state of stress after work. It’s hard to shake off sometimes. I had my doubts about it, but this weird little mat exceeded my expectations. If you can handle period cramps, you can handle the hardest level. I did the standard 20 minutes, the little prickle pain does go away after 2-4 minutes (it’s not that bad at all). The relaxation actually started to seep in, and I was relaxed for a couple hours after!

I have a lot of stress on my back and neck from my job and I’ve tried a lot of different things but this works the absolute best. I have to set a timer to wake me up because it knocks me out cold every single time I use it. I bought the highest level just to try out and can say it surprised me and is certainly worth every penny. My wife did not have such drastic results but said she undeniably felt way more relaxed. It definitely takes a couple of minutes until the slight discomfort fades and my whole back feels warm and incredibly relaxed. It’s a great bonus and worth more to me that they pay the workers fairly in a country notorious for poor wages and mistreating employees.

This mat is PAIN and BLISS at the same time! I've never used an acupressure mat whatsoever. I would consider myself to be in excellent shape as I lift weights 6 days a week and have always worked out religiously for over 35 years. I jumped right in and bought the advanced mat. First session I did bare back and for 40 minutes. Yes at first I'm like oh my gosh this is painful as heck but in a good way. After about 13 minutes I'm literally in another zone, dimension, world and I'm out! I wake up now after 55 minutes that I set my timer for and the entire session seems like 5 minutes. I'm sleeping better and lok forward to laying on my nails before bed, love my advanced Shakti!!!

If you can get a tattoo you can lay on this all day long. The biggest thing that makes it uncomfortable is laying down and then having to adjust. I try to lay down as flat as possible on it and just kind of roll side to side to adjust so that way the spikes don’t tear at me. I love it! It helps a lot! I am a mechanic full-time, full-time single dad to a two-year-old, and I do side jobs. I’m almost 40 and my body is hurting. This is definitely a tool I have added to my arsenal to help combat the aches and pains of life. I wake up with tension in my neck and shoulders all the time. I lay on this( sometimes in the morning, but I try not to because it does help you fall asleep) multiple times a day. Everything they say is true. Its uncomfortable and you want to get up or keep adjusting. Even if you’re in a weird position, just lay there. once that uncomfortable feeling goes away you literally start feeling it piercing into the tension and then a hot feeling just releases. it’s amazing! Get the advanced mat! Its not bad! You’ll wish you did!

If you’re looking for a gentle massage, keep moving. The ShaktiMat Classic is exactly what it claims to be: advanced intensity. The first 60 seconds feel like a "fight or flight" response, but if you can breathe through the initial prickly shock, something incredible happens. Around the 5-minute mark, the stinging transforms into a deep, radiating heat as blood flow surges to the area. By 20 minutes, I’m usually so relaxed I have to set an alarm so I don't fall asleep on it.

I have been using these mats for about 6 years. They really work. I own 2 of the shakti brands and one non. There is a difference. Shakti is top quality. Take note that there are different levels of these mats. This one is very intense and I don’t recommend it for a first timer. The original level is actually perfect. I would suggest this one after you have a lot of experience with the original version. You have to commit in order to get to the benefits. Make it through the first 3-4 minutes and you’ll be surprised at the switch from pain to a relaxing, pleasing sensation. I have fallen asleep many times on mine. Good luck. I started out with one of the cheap, imitation brands that you can get for $20 here on Amazon. I loved using it but wanted to take it to the next level, so I bought the advanced level 3 version of the real deal Shakti mat. It is incredible! The spikes are so much sharper than the knock off brand and really grip into your skin. This mat is simply amazing and far superior to the cheaper one! It is well worth the higher price! Even the foam padding is noticeably better! Using this mat is such a blissful experience - I wish I would have started with the real Shakti mat and lament all the hours of what now by comparison in retrospect provided a substandard experience!

I can’t stress enough how much this will positively impact your day. Understand the first 3 minutes or so of laying on this mat is uncomfortable and when your done, getting up sucks. Some people I could legit see shedding a tear or two if your pain tolerance is low but I promise if you just power thru those first couple of minutes it’s 100 percent worth it. Making the body uncomfortable is good for you so. Don’t be afraid of it. Embrace it!

I cannot rave enough about this product. The advanced is definitely not for people with low pain tolerance tho. I personally love it but if you can’t tolerate that start with beginners. Still fabulous and I actually sleep on that one but for days where my pain is intolerable I use the advanced.

very good and sturdy product with amazing results

It’s not a miracle cure that some make it out to be. There are times when it doesn’t fix muscle spasms for me and other times it does. It is painful but you get through it hence my 1 star for comfort as it’s painful. I’m glad we bought it and would have liked it earlier in life as just something to lay on when needed. Hang it on your wall as a decoration when not in use.

Love my Shakti. If you are new to it, do not get the advanced, it may take you a while to get used to it but once you do it is amazing
