I wanted to add some light under my kitchen cabinets for a long time, but I didn't want to deal with all the wires and plugs. This was the perfect solution. The installation was so easy—the adhesive is really strong, and it literally took me five minutes to get it all set up. The battery box control is a game-changer because I don’t have to worry about outlets. I’m obsessed with the motion sensor; it automatically turns on when I walk into the kitchen at night, so I don’t have to flip on the bright overhead lights. It's super convenient and adds a great touch to my kitchen.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It was easy to install, very nice warm light. We used it as an ambiance night light on a boat in our bathroom. I love it so much, that I am getting one more for the bar area. Sensor works everytime we open the bathroom door. Magnetic adhesive included in the kit wich makes changing varieties very easy.I also live clear cord, it was easy to hide as it's blending in with the fiberglass. This maybe the most exciting amazon purchase of the year!lol

Okay, look, this project turned out great as seen in the photos. It looks clean and professional, and the battery/motion sensor pack is kept at a low profile, and sometimes you forget it's there.HOWEVER: There are 2 major issues I stumbled across with these lights.1. I bought 4 of these, and one of them didn't even work (wouldn't turn on with brand new batteries). As a result I couldn't put a strip on the right side on the landing l, and I have to return them.2. One of the light strips has a different tint compared to the two others. It's not visible on the camera, but one of the strips has a colder tint.Overall though, I think the positives outweigh the negatives because it looks professional for a product that only cost $13. Just be prepared to buy extra. I highly recommend this product, especially if the power goes often where you live.

Nothing to it to "install". It's just peel and stick and then put in batteries and you're off to the races. Things to note: a) the lights are bright enough for a small space, but not very bright. And 2) the adhesive isn't very strong so it definitely won't ruin surfaces, and could be repositioned if necessary. The LED strip can be cut to length. I assumed this, but just to clarify. All in all, a great low-cost solution for a motion sensor light for safes.

My wife has used a flashlight for many years when searching for items in our food pantry... so THIS YEAR, I thought I would buy her a practical gift and get her a motion activated light for her pantry.... after searching around, I came across this "strip" lighting set and decided to order it as it had good reviews and appeared to solve our lighting problem. I installed the light and waited to see my wife's reaction when she opened the pantry for the first time without using her flashlight.. she came running and said, "WOW, why didnt you buy this pantry light sooner!" Needless to say, it was a huge hit and I am the hero for making one of my wife's every day activities much easier to do!

Seems to stick well to metal painted surfaces and motion detection works. Light is very dim though. Anything other than accent lighting for looks is useless.

These are excellent and useful strip lights. I have two on the underside of our bed frame, positioned so that they come on at night should either of us need to get up. They have a night setting so they activate in darkness only. Also, I have one in my closet that illuminates items below the hanging clothes. Highly recommended.

Motion sensor is terrible. You have to practically sit on it to get it turn on. After a day of use it stopped turning on completely.
