FUNCTIONALITY: as you age you’ve cooked for so long - meal prep becomes arduous. Years ago I began using the 11inch H x 8 in W rolls that were 25ft,50Ft,100ft and to make my own bags(4in W X 5.5in H). Well that too gets arduous once done long enough. Now, I buy these and I cut down the height 3” They’re great for making portion meals of approx 8-12oz to freeze a meal in it’s entirety (bag by bag) or the remainder of what’s left in a meal via portion size bags. We reach into the freezer that has various meals in the portion bags inside gallon ziploc bags. We warm each frozen portion in hot water day of (3-7mins is enough typically to place contents into a pan or pot for reheat. We also will leave a portion bag overnight in fridge day before - and voila instant base for a meal or a meal in itself the next day . I like the sizes of these two kinds of bags. We're empty nesters, so we like to freeze small portions. I even cut the smallest ones in half and make two very small bags (just seal one end first) and use them to freeze lesser amounts like a diced jalapeño from our garden. We use the peppers in scrambled eggs and they keep well for that purpose. I also like to quarter, dice, and freeze small ham steaks for the same purpose. We've always got some tasty omelet fixings on hand that can be defrosted quickly in the bag in a bowl of water. The bags seal well and hold the perfect portion size. I recommend them.

I fish A LOT and process the fish at home. I love the heck out of these bags. The 8”x12” is what I originally got which is a great overall size for a standard ribeye or nice chunk of fish. However, I have recently been getting into preparing smaller portions so they thaw out faster and I won’t have to eat as much. It also makes it so giving away fish is better because I have more pieces to give. I now cut the bags down in half so they are 8”x6” for the sashimi sized blocks pictured. These bags are very durable. Freezer stability is great in them. Plastic is strong and very transparent. Definitely worth every penny as I’ve purchased several brands for 2-3x the cost and they don’t come close to these. It’s nice how they are sized already scenery bag has that little notch so you can easily rip to open.

Great quality, perfect sizes at a great price

Great bags, good price. The only downside is the opening is rather small. My regular canning funnel won't work. My husband cut down a small measuring cup. Problem solved.

Large quantity for a great price and work just as well as the brand name

These are great for vacuum food storage. Very easy to use, and fits well with both vacuum sealers I own. The material is sturdy, which is important.

I bought these vacuum seal bags because I'm planning on freezing my garden veggies or separating bulk foods into more manageable family dinner portions. I do like the pre sized bags so much better! I feel the size is pretty good for my needs. I have the rolls of bags, should i need a different size...but I feel I waste alot and I can't seem to cut in a straight line- vision impairment is not making it easier either. I would recommend these bags to anyone who has a vacuum sealer!

Bags would not seal and air was not removed. Very disappointed in the InstaSeal and the bags bought separately. Expensive bags.

The bags are thin and they fail to allow the vacuum to work. Had to throw away 50% of the bags because they just don't work
