How effective are these versus very loud toddlers? **Recipient is a male with anxiety who has several young nephews under age 12**

In my experience I’ve been wearing mine around my very young toddler nieces and I wear them in crowded spaces. While you can still hear the noises, they’re slightly deadened and not as sharp. You can still hear the tones they’re just not as sharp if that makes sense. I guess basically it muffles the loudness but not the actual sound pitch.

Can anyone with misophonia, specifically an aversion to bass music, speak about whether they've been effective / helpful?

My problem(s) relate more to sudden noises and higher register or piercing noises. That said, the Flares have an overall dampening effect and they generally "soften" the impact of ambient sound.
