Are the dimensions 14 x 8.9 x 2.1 inches as stated in the product details?

14 x 8.9 x 3 are the outside dimensions. Inside is 12.25 x 7.25 x 2.25 if you consider the divider ridges (if you trim the divider ridges, you gain slightly more).

Does this float if tossed in the water?

That would depend on how much weight you have in it. I say stay away from this model. Mine busted/got a hole in the bottom the first day out.

Can the dividers be completely removed, so the box is open core?

Yes the dividers can be completely removed.

Can you buy the dividers any one have a link need the long divider???

I don't think you can buy a individual dividers. I have a whole extra box full of the ones I don't use, maybe I should start selling them.
