Does not work!
Bought these and they don’t work. Tried everything, read the directions thoroughly and never lit up. They also feel very cheaply made. Don’t buy these.

They do light
I've been using these for five nights and surprisingly they still work. The LED stays on until morning from a day's charge. It's not exactly lighting up the night, but it will help you find your door or whatever you place it near. As for the bug zapping function, the purple light is even dimmer. I can't comment on the bug zapping ability, but it will definitely give you a shock if you can't resist touching the grid, like me. The weather just turned cold here and the mosquitoes retired, thankfully. My impression is that you're not going to attract a lot of bugs with it, but the ones that happen to wander into it will regret it. Hey, they were 10 bucks. I'm happy they work at all.

Don’t bother, they don’t zap
I bought 2 sets of these to help clear out a massive number of mosquitoes. They are basically a purple light. I sat outside for an out with my tennis racket style bug zapper to protect myself. There were plenty of bugs but not a pop or sizzle from these things. I have left them out for over a week and checked the ground for bug carcasses in case I was wrong, still nothing. A great idea but this execution appears to be flawed.I gave it 2 stars because it has a switch to just be a regular solar light which it does fine.I wouldn’t use the purple light since on the off chance it really does attract bugs, it certainly doesn’t kill them, so now you have attracted the bugs to where you are. I guess maybe if you put them in your neighbors yard it could be fun.

Exceeded expectations
I was skeptical at first looking at the price but I definitely exceeded my expectations and reduced the amount of mosquitos in my back yard

They lasted a month. and quit working.
Biggest waste of money. Probably killed maybe 20 mosquitoes.

Not so effective
I didn't like the product during the day I could continue seeing a whole bunch of mosquitoes in my front porch and the front yard so it wasn't effective at all sorry but for the price I wouldn't recommend it.
