Potassium chloride powder supplement. For those who do not get enough potassium in their diet, or need to avoid salt.The container contains the powder, a 1000mg scoop and a desiccant packet to keep the powder from clumping. I put it in a glass of water to drink with my meal. Tastes a little salty, but not bad. Please use carefully.

I used the recommended dosage in my cost saving homemade electrolytes this AM, which consists of potassium chloride, magnesium malate and Redmond salt. I soon began having GI discomfort that led to explosive diarrhea that has continued intermittently for two hours now. I google inquired if either ingredient caused such distress and potassium chloride is the culprit, as it can be an irritant, especially if taken on an empty stomach, which is what I did. It is recommended to start out at a lower dose, taken with food. I want to continue taking the supplement but will be taking it with these recommendations I was provided. I think it’s a good product, maybe just be cautious starting out.

Using as this a salt substitute. If you don't overdo it tastes fine, way healthier than salt. I also take it after cardio when I know I'm going to get cramps.

Debating/researching what brand to buy? I did the same for many,many days on supplements. Read below!I love that Nutricost tests all their products. You can literally contact them, with the LOT# on the bottle and they will send you test results. Why is that important? Many companies for one do not provide tests results if asked, you will usually get ignored or receive a generic response. It is also important because a lot of supplements can have heavy metals/contaminates in them and there is no warning of this.An example would be, almost all Ceylon Cinnamon across the world will have some type of contaimenants no matter what. I purchased some from Nutricost, contacted them about what tests have been done, they asked for the LOT# on the bottle and I received the test results the next day. The tests showed all levels of contaimenants were VERY low / in the range we're the body will not be effected. Many spices have contaimenants so keep that in mind! We tend to cook with them and have no idea. The products themselves have all been excellent. I've purchased the potassium chloride, taurine, and magnesium citrate powders multiple times, and the quality has been consistently good.My only complaint is the packaging. The inner safety seal is extremely difficult to remove. If you end up cutting it with a knife, bits of the paper/foil and adhesive remain stuck around the rim of the container, making it messy and difficult to screw on the lid. A better-designed liner would make these products much more user-friendly.Container seal could use improvement.
