We purchased this to clean a sticky, greasy spill from the back seat of our car. It worked GREAT! It came with two bottles of cleaning solution and we weren't sure how much solution we'd go through so we used an entire bottle to fill the entire reservoir with water and cleaner (the lines on the reservoir are very helpful.) We were very surprised to see that it didn't use much solution to get the job done. You have to use quite a bit of elbow grease to get the maximum amount of water out of the area you are cleaning. My husband and I tag teamed the back seat of the car and then moved onto an oversized chair that the kids have gotten their greasy selves and numerous food stains on over the years. Between those two items we used the entire reservoir (going over a few areas two or three times.) Both pieces look almost brand new. Maybe we scrubbed a little too hard on the car seat because the fabric pilled in a few places. If you're cleaning a more delicate fabric just use gentle pressure and be prepared to do a few more runs with the cleaner or vacuum hose. A few items to note:- There's a small rubber gasket on the solution sprayer part of the device. This moved around a little bit while cleaning and when it did, the sprayer had a tendency to leak. But once we scooted it back in place it worked fine.- The small detail brush isn't as sturdy as the larger brush but it is great at getting into tight spaces. We removed the larger scrubber piece from the attachment and scrubbed with that in some of the crevices, and on the end of the arm rest of the chair and went back in with the smaller detail attachment to remove the water.- Fairly easy to clean the clean and dirty reservoirs but the clean side doesn't drain all of the water out easily. We left it outside on a warm day and the small bit of water evaporated out.- Self cleaning feature is pretty cool.- Did not use the rubber scrub attachment so cannot comment on that.- Nice long cord and hose (we did remove the entire back seat of the vehicle to get a better angle though)- Not too heavy, easy to carry around.- Be prepared to clean an entire piece of furniture because it works so well that spot cleaning will likely leave bright clean spots.

This little machine does a respectable job for cleaning light stains and odors on fabric covered furniture and small rugs. It's limited brush size and suction power are not ideal for larger jobs such as an entire carpet in an average sized room. For that, I'd use an upright cleaner or rent a professional model. However, this Hoover Cleanslate works ok for cleaning my sofa and several rugs I have when accidents happen. I really like the simplicity of the design, easy to follow instructions, heavy-duty long cord, general built quality, and the overall aesthetics. It's not high design, but the plastic tanks look stunning. It's also fun to use. Please note that if you need to clean up urine odors, the standard solution is not strong enough. You'll need to presoak the area and use a special pet solution. It may take time and a few applications. Also, this machine does not have enough suction to clean cushions that have been deeply penetrated by spills. A strong shop vac may be a better option. Overall, for light work, this is a reasonably effective product and a fair value.

This works so great. It’s easy to transport from room to room and area to area. I live in an apartment and I was able to clean almost a whole room with the small area recommendation. The floor doesn’t get overly saturated but it definitely picks up all the gross things that the naked eye doesn’t see. The cord is a decent length also. I haven’t had any problems with leaks or transporting. The room smells a lot better almost instantly.My negatives are that after the first use the brush got gross and I’m not sure how to throughly clean that. I also had to flush the hose with sink water because the self cleaning cap did not produce enough pressure to clean the gunk out the hose.

I received it today and could not wait to try it out. It is easy to operate and comes with several different tools. It works quite well and I am pleased with it performance. I am going to clean the car seats tomorrow and have no doubt it will do well. It is not loud or cumbersome and has a long cord and the tool store on the machine and was easy to clean up so I am very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered this to steamclean some spots on nice area rugs that my senior Pomeranian had accidents on. It works amazingly well! I then used it to spot clean some places on the stair runners, and again, wow!!! No more stain or smell on either side of my lovely area rugs. The amount of dirt and hair it pulls out of carpets is amazing, and everything smells better afterward too. Best of all, it is really portable. For my purposes, I did not want to have to haul a full-size steamcleaner around, so it's perfect for me.

Awesome product, I first received a defective product which was leaking profusely. But then with help and quick at that I got a replacement and works amazing. The customer support was great and quick to help, I haven't seen any customer service as good as this. My dog had an accident on the carpet and it was clean in 5 minutes. Amazing product works as needed and amazing company if anything is wrong they got you.

I had the old version, and the hose cracked SO I uograded to the newest version. The hose set up is much more logical, and the suction is more heavy duty. It works absolutely wonderful on everything except tightly woven fiber rug I have, and I believe it is due to the fact I can't get into the fibers and really clean it. (so more on the rug rather than the machine)
