SO much better than a manual measuring tape!
This laser measuring unit is VERY nice. It's well made and while it comes with a book which will tell you all the things it can do, I found it very easy to use right out of the box. The packaging is nice and it even comes with a little protective bag to keep it scratch free and clean in your tool box. The screen is very easy to read and it has a LOT of functions for the price. I saw this being used by a youtuber demonstrating how he sets up his hifi speakers and I HAD to have it! This is my first laser measuring unit like this, but I can say that it appears to be super accurate and the ability to read angles also is going to be very useful! I will add a photo asap, so you can see the true size and the protective bag.

Measures in feet and inches, in inches, and in metric
Exactly what I was looking for. It's accurate. A comprehensive instruction manual is included. It comes with a one year warranty according to the instruction manual. As of September 2025, just under $34 with the $5.10 coupon applied. Runs on two AAA Batteries which are included.Easy to operate, switch modes, etc., again measures in inches, in feet and inches, and in metric.Definitely would purchase it again. If it lasts a reasonable amount of time it is well worth what I paid. If it doesn't I'll be back to update the review.

Decent Laser - Some Drawbacks
I use this laser for architectural surveying: measuring existing spaces for floor and ceiling plans to create as-built drawings. I need to create accurate base drawings so that the construction drawings are correct. For years, I was using a brick sized Leica laser that was provided by my company. I used this in combination with a sturdy 25' Stanley measuring tape. Eventually, I encountered someone in the field with a pocket sized laser like this and had thought about upgrading to something newer. I've used this laser for the past 2 years.I find this laser to be accurate, and work pretty well. Things I like:- pocket sized- only needs 2 AAA (the old Leica needed 4 or 6 AA)- can be used one handed- if needed, it can take measurements for very small distances (less than 12 inches)- for the price it has very long range- the display showing the last several measurements - this helps save some timeThings I don't like:- the back light on the display times out quickly, and if you're measuring in a dim area, it makes reading the numbers difficult.- default measuring in 1/16th of an inch - I wish I could adjust this up to 1/8 of an inch, but owner's manual doesn't say it changes.- the reference point for the laser can change (with one button, you can change the measuring distance from including the length of the device to not including the device.) Since most of the time the laser is against something, you need that additional couple of inches included. Twice on a job this changed without me realizing it, throwing off some measurements.- battery level depicted changes wildly - sometimes you turn it on and it says it has very little battery remaining and then the next time you turn it on, its full! I'd recommend carrying spares - when it reads error, the batteries are dead.Overall its been a good laser for the past two years but I'm thinking of changing to a Bosch GLM100-23. Though the distance range will be less, the laser reference point won't change and the measurements can be rounded up to 1/8 inch.

Great little device
Pretty amazing, works great, very accurate. The only negative I can say is that in bright sunlight the laser is of course hard to see. But it's well worth it. Saves time and work.

Seems quite accurate.
Works well. Just remember that the distance measurement includes the length of the device, or you will get readings that are off by 12 cm!Tested in office environment with large windows.

Easy to use
Works well measuring room dimensions

It needs a green laser.
It's good for enclosed spaces or areas out of the direct sunlight. The laser cannot be seen on a bright day. Living in Texas, every day is bright.
