Abu Garcia Ambassadeur C4 Baitcast Round Fishing Reel

Awesome reel

I love these reels my cousin has 6 of them and I tried it and had to buy one for myself. They say if you take care of a abu they will last you for your entire life. They are nice and good designed reels and I havent had one issue out of my cousins so I had to have one.

Excellent reel. My first time trying a baitcasting reel, but it performed flawlessly. Casting is very smooth. Line retrieve is also superb. First time out - caught a 14lb blue catfish. Boy was I happy. Came home and ordered another one.

I bought three of these. I can’t say enough about them powerful gears, great retrieve and smooth drag maybe that’s why I bought three of them.

I slapped this on a TWC extreme I had I use for catfishing. Slapped 30 lbs braid on and it handled any fish we caught the other night just fine. I’m sure this reel is great for many other types of fishing. But for my context river and lake catfishing. From boat and bank. These rock. **************edited review**************** I had a buddy check out the reel because I was having some issues and basically this spool doesn’t have a milled hole or a post to tie off onto like other similar abu’s do. Well the line was slipping on the spool causing a lot of issues. But basically he spooled the line off and put a piece of tape on the spool holding the line then spooled it back up. And it works fine again. So it was my inexperience that led to the issue. This is a great reel I would definitely buy again.

Ordering this real I didn't realize there was a third party involved first they sent me a defective reel start a return on it and bought another one because I was going on a fishing trip and it came with a missing screw brand new out of the box and the first one was defective so I sent back the first one they're giving me a refund but they charged me $100 for a return plus $30 for shipping I will not get back very disappointed about ordering this real through this company will never happen again order it straight from Garcia I've never ever had a problem with Amazon with a return but this one did not go well at all and I'm very disappointed the reels are great but both reels that I ordered appeared to be used in a box

So I decided to get one of these famous reels Sweden made right. Well so far my only issue I have found is while trying to engage the bait clicker. Sometimes it will not engage and the plastic button that slides up to ungage will start to move out of it's slide or basically pop up. I can feel it in a bind. When this happens all I have to do is pull alittle drag out and it will pop back into place. I'm sure this isn't how it should work. For the money I paid for it I would think it wouldnt have issues like this. Other than that this reel feels awesome and is very smooth retrieving and drag. Like I said I was very sad to have the issue. I use it for river catfish 50lbs plus. Part of me wishes I just bought 3 kingkast instead Might have to contact the company I guess.

I love my new Abu Garcia reel. I bought this as a birthday present to myself. I mounted it on a new Ugly Stik rod and together they are a great combo!

Great product. Very smooth and great feel. Not to big and cast like a charm. First time user of a round baitcaster amd I had no problems with it at all. I would only suggest the abu garcia power handle to go with it. Definitely recommend

use it for 2 fishing season for catching chinook and coho and have ho complains.
