This book we brought along for our seven year-old son while crossing five European countries. This made the trip much more interesting and tangible for him. Already he knows his facts about UK paces and geography but given our frequent trips to the continent this book was a welcome gift that he much appreciated. He got quite fascinated by the rivers and further-away countries. Also it triggered small debates about impressive topics for a seven- year old, like about Tjernobil. We already have the whole collection of history books in this series, that are highly recommended. But the Geography editions are no less interesting and similarly well done. There are very clear maps and courfull illustrations on each page. And the narrative is very clear even though concise. And all topics are logically arranged over clear chapters. We use the book for guided reading, but our son often reaches for it as a reference. Highly recommended. Review: Great information - Useful information to expose a child to.

Son loves this book and soaked up most of the facts

Useful information to expose a child to.

Fantastic
This is fantastic. Bought it for my y4 son during kickdown and he loved it. It's at quite a high level so will be useful right upto y6. He's learnt a lot from it. You do need to buy the workbook too as this is just the textbook. Still worth the money though, even buying both.
