PARIS - HELIUM DLX - Expandable Soft Large Suitcase - 77x49x33 cm - 115 liters - XL - Black

We have owned two Delsey softside luggage cases since 2008 that have been around the world with us and have served us really well. This year we decided to buy new cases for an upcoming trip and naturally went with Delsey again as we'd been so happy with the performance of the old ones. However, we've been disappointed this time around. We bought 2 x Delsey Paris Helium DLX cases in the 115 litre XL size in black. Aesthetically they look really good and I did like the TSA combination locks on them, which seem robust. Their internal compartments were organised similarly to our old cases with a very practical set-up. That's where the positives end. These new cases just don't seem to be as robust or well-designed as our old ones. After our first flight with the cases we found that the stitching on one of their side pocket zips had completely come apart (see photos). There was no other damage to suggest a problem with baggage handling and the case certainly wasn't overloaded. Also, we found that despite having four wheels it was difficult to move the cases in a straight line if they were pushed forward sideways-on. Other four-wheel cases we have can be pushed alongside you in either orientation, The Delsey cases could only be pushed smoothly in one orientation, making us think that we may as well have just bought two-wheel cases and pulled them behind us. How the cases were loaded didn't seem to improve this and one performed worse than the other. The final thing of note is what I consider to be poor design. Only the main compartment zip is lockable. In addition to the TSA lock, the two zip pulls on the main compartment also have a hole going through them that allow you to fit a regular case padlock. On the outer zip pocket there is only a single zip pull so it can't be locked. On the other external pocket there are two zip pulls but they are not designed to lock together. You can just about get a small padlock through the holes in these zip pulls but it leaves them protruding at an awful angle that could cause them to be damaged in transit. I like to be able to lock all the compartments on my case and here I couldn't. We returned these to Amazon for a refund.

Ich habe den Koffer in weniger als 24 Stunden erhalten (super schnelle Lieferung) und er war gut verpackt! Die Qualität ist absolut überzeugend. Er ist robust, geräumig und sehr angenehm zu handhaben. Die große Größe ist perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse – genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Der Koffer entspricht vollständig der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Man kann problemlos viele Dinge darin verstauen. Ich empfehle ihn wärmstens weiter !

Valigia resistente. Dopo svariati viaggi e' ancora come nuova. E' molto capiente, forse se fosse stata un po' meno grande sarebbe stata anche migliore ma la taglia piu' piccola era troppo piccola.

Très belle valise que j’ai commandé en 71 cms. La hauteur avec les roues est de 78 cms et si on rajoute la poignée télescopique déployée en entier elle mesure 106 cms environ. Parfait pour mon mari qui mesure 1m90. De plus les finitions sont belles. La valise. L’air solide. Elle est profonde, parfaite pour un prochain long voyage. Elle est quand même arrivée avec une petite éraflure sur le côté mais je la garde quand même. Rien de bien méchant néanmoins mais dommage pour presque 180 euros. Je recommande !

Vraiment top, elles sont presque trop grandes pour l'avion. Et le soufflet ne sert à rien.
