G-Shock The Origin GW-M5610U-1BER Mens Wristwatch

My all time go-to watch - rugged, reliable, accurate, solar powered so never fails or needs batteries, and radio-controlled for effortless accuracy to within a fraction of a second. Shock proof and water proof to a really decent depth too. I own much more expensive watches but this one I can wear all day and it doesn’t get in the way - and if I’m wearing long sleeve shorts it will even slip under the cuff if I want it to. In other words it’s a watch with numerous upsides and no known downside. About to buy another as I know no other watch gives me this all-round performance. Love it!

Bought this as an upgrade to my last Casio that lasted the 10 years until the battery died. You can get replacements really cheaply too, so Casio watches certainly have a good lifetime for their price.As for this watch, I love this classic Casio style. It's much smaller as it's based on the original square styles, yet has all the features I like to see and still feels tough.Solar power and radio synchronisation are great as it makes the watch super dependable. I'm sure this'll last as long as my last watch without any maintenanceThe only downside at first impression is that the inverted screen can be hard to read, but I was aware of this already and with the auto backlight it's not really much of a problem

best g shock for everything. on this one the black out is easy to read as well.

Very happy with the watch. Fits well and is light and comfortable. Softer strap than my previous G shocks. Difficult to see display in black out version in low light but not a problem with the back light. Accuracy is amazing with automatic time update. Great value for money and good tool watch. Delivery was quick too. Only disappointing thing it came in a branded cardboard box, unlike previous G shocks they came in a nice tin. Would recommend.

Incredible watch. Perfect size not too big. I always avoided gshocks due to how big they are but this is fantastic.

Note that the display is definitely NOT like the picture.It is NOWHERE NEAR as bright or easy to read as shown.You will probably need the backlight, even in daylight.Good news though, it has an automatic light function - but this only works when it wants to ...

After getting a high end g-shock. I wanted a cheap second watch to wear on holidays or when painting the garden fence.It turns out the cheaper watches are a false economy, lasting a Yearvifvi am lucky.Paid little more than I was going too for a cheap second watch and with the solar power battery and auto time adjustment l woul expect to get 10 years before a battery replacement and with the solid build , this is actually a cheap and more environmental solution if I get 10 years usage.This has the reverse screen which is hard to see in some light so not ideal for a primary watch. But as a second watch it's okIn regards to the screen if I had the option to go for a top end g-shock I would never go for this screen type as I would be frustrated that it was difficult to read.

I really wanted to like this watch. The solar power and radio time control sounded great, but it's completely let down by the negative screen. For reference I'm not old nor hard of sight. The contrast is poor meaning you need great lighting to read it, and even then it's a struggle. The viewing angles are also terrible meaning anything off holding it dead in front of your face causes ghosting meaning the time become illegible as other parts of the LCD are visible (appears like lots of 8s).The strap is also uncomfortable. The hole spacing is wide meaning I ended up between sizes so either too tight or too loose (my wrist is 6 3/4" for reference). The square shapes on the inside of the band to stop the loop from slipping also digs into your arm. The material might soften in time but considering it didn't fit in the first place this wasn't really an option I explored.Buttons are difficult to press meaning you have to use your nail.Having the ability to have the date as DD/MM is a good feature.In conclusion, other than looking cool it fails compared to my £15 Casio F91W.(For completeness I also tried the positive display version of the watch and, whilst it's more legible, the ghosting is still very bad)

Underbar klocka, gör det den ska - visar tid. Sen finns det lite funktioner till - och huvudsakligen laddar den sig själv genom ljuset i omgivningen, och den synkar klockan själv också. Excellent watch. One of the best G-Shock.Some people are complaining about negative display but tbh it does not matter much! Actually this give the watch a stealthy look! Highly recommended

Ya tengo un año con el reloj, es muy buen reloj es del diario me gusta por su comodidad, yo soy de muñeca delgada.Lo utilizo para cualquier tarea.

Ottimo se cerchi: ora precisa impermeabilità, leggerezza, carica batteria infinita per le lcelle solari. Il display è poco leggibile in condizioni di scarsa illuminazione diurna e la luce notturna fioca non migliora la situazione. Meglio scegliere la versione con display bianco e numeri scuri. Ma tutto nero è molto più bello. Quello che non viene mai detto nelle recensioni è che sebbene sia impermeabile fino a 20 metri è fortemente sconsigliabile premere i tasti funzione quando ci si trova in acqua. Io l'ho fatto ma non si sono verificati casi di infiltrazione di acqua.
