Are these bags thick and puncture proof?

These bags are 2 mil thick, which is about the same thickness you would find in a ziplock bag you would buy at the store. I wouldn't describe them as "puncture proof."

Are these bags specifically for drugs?

Well it’s kind of obvious that most people use them primarily for drugs . If you used them for anything else people would 100% associate them with drugs . They have been the bag of choice for keeping drugs dry and contained since the 70s. With that said - they are bags - they can be used for anything . I personally have a seed business and they are perfect for my needs . People use them for storing any small pieces of anything - jewelry making stuff, screws and stuff you need to keep separate for a project . I wouldn’t recommend putting stuff in them to sell at a bake sale at your church or a fundraiser for the police department . what it comes down to is if you are thinking of selling drugs ( which the risks far outweigh the benefits - maybe go back to school instead ?) people don’t care what their drugs are in - they just want their drugs . If you are using it as a bag for anything else besides drugs - people will prob think “ that’s an interesting choice of bags - I remember getting a teener in one of those . I hope I don’t get pulled over “ because those little bags are sketchy and the cops will automatically think there are drugs in them. Conclusion: no these bags are not exclusively for drugs but that’s what most people use them for .
