When Pencil Met Gel Eyeliner, Waterproof, Smoky Plum Matte

Of all of the eyeliners that I have tried over the years, this is at the top. It glides on so effortlessly and stays put, even in the Florida heat and humidity. It washes off very easily. I have several different colors.

Very pretty

Goes on incredibly smooth. The purple does seem more like a dark black with a hint of brownish purple - I have very pale skin and expected the purple to stand out more. It does not. It kind of looks like a really really soft black. I have a some oily lids and this wipes right off. I applied and let it sit to "set" and it still wiped off easily with a dry tissue. I did not try with primer, but I do not think that would help completely. On oil-free skin (like the back of my hand) it held up really well. Shame I cannot return it even with Prime.

Like it. It could go on smoother. Doesn't really look purple after applied. A bit expensive for what it does. Does stay on. Not sticky. Not sure about smudge resistance.

Love the color but the pencil itself wears down extremely fast. I used it four times and had to sharpen it. At this rate won't last long for the price.

Love the color! However, it does smudge, not water resistant, and starts to become chunky after a couple weeks of using it for some reason. It glides on, but catches of bit, especially for aging skin. EDIT: Forgot I had ordered this about a year ago and returned it. I ordered it again, and just want to add that it goes on clumpy. You can see in the image it's not smooth, but leaves cobs of color! Poor advertising, and wish I would have looked more carefully at that! The new white casing is an improvement over the black as it is now easily sharpened.

Eye irritation occurred almost immediately after I appplied the liner, resulting in eyes turning red and constantly watering until I was able to rub off the liner. I doubt whether it should be called waterproof because most of it disappeared because of the moisture from my watery eyes. Color quality was okay. I have had better luck with other comparably priced products. Very disappointed in this product.

Love the color and how and it glides and lasts. Unfortunately, I only got two or 3 uses out of it since the liner wouldn't come out of the pencil, no matter how much I twisted it. I like Julep product but wont order this item again.

I have been using this pencil in Smoky Plum for a few years now, love the colour, glides over the eye area without pulling, good price, I have slightly oily skin around the eyes so use a little concealer just to secure the colour stays put, but on normal skin your probably fine.

Ok but nothing to shout home about !

This pencil is definitely not smudge proof - very disappointed

This eye / lip pencil sharpener is second to none I had one of these for many years I lent it to my daughter and never got it back as she loves it. I bought from QVC with eye pencil then they stop selling them I have been looking every where for it and finally found it on Amazon

The colour was perfect, glides on easily & the staying power is quite good.
