Cool !!! extraordinary quality...the name speaks for itself "sony" brand....awesome ... just 10cm size.. portability, build quality, sound quality was excellent...recommended product..

This could be a good product for specific use cases. But not for general use. The device is so tiny that the buttons are a pain to operate. Pros: 1. Tiny, has a clip which is quite useful Size is comparable to a pen. You can just set it and forget it 2. Mic quality is good Although the other Sony recorders have better mics, since they are bigger. 3. One push record even when powered off (in about a second) Probably the only one from Sony (available at the time of writing) which has this feature. Just press record and it powers up and starts recording right away. With my old and faithful Sony UX533F, Power on to record is about 5 seconds and needs two button presses (Power + Record button presses). Cons: 1. Being a tiny device, the buttons are not that easy to use, feedback of the oddly shaped record button is especially bad You can’t really be sure if you really pressed record without looking at the screen or LED to confirm 2. The useful features like T-mark, playback speed control (DPC) is hidden inside the menu options. The cheaper and larger recorders from Sony have dedicated buttons which make it very easy to operate. So, playing/ browsing through files is not easy in this device. I would like to reiterate that this is not a bad device but has very limited use cases. Its very good at being tiny and allowing quick start recording. But it’s bad at other uses which the cheaper branded recorders accomplish easily. Hence with that in mind I don’t think it’s worth the extra premium. For regular use cases check elsewhere.

Device is very small, microphone not as expected.

In general nothing very wrong about it but just that at this price point there should be an option of Bluetooth to connect the earphones for playback.

Reception and volume is week

EMINENTLY USEFUL. HANDY. LIGHT. IT IS BACKLIT, SO NO PROBLEM IN DARK. I AM A MUSICIAN AND SONGWRITER AND I NEED SUCH A POCKET FRIENDLY DEVICE. WHAT IT RECORDS CAN BE EASILY TRANSFERRED TO A COMPUTER AND THE FILE IS QUITE AUDIBLE EVEN IF THE RECORDING WAS MADE HOLDING THE DEVICE AT AN ARM'S LENGTH. CLOSER TO MOUTH THE RESULT IS EMINENTLY BETTER. NOTHING TO DISLIKE. ONE MUST GET FAMILIAR WITH THE WAY TODAY'S SONY IC RECORDERS FUNCTIONS. NOTHING TO DISLIKE ABOUT THIS LITTLE GEM.

Ce petit appareil est étonnant. Il est facile à utiliser. Le transfert des fichiers audio sur un ordi se fait très facilement. La qualité du son est surprenante. Je ne peux évidemment pas évaluer la durée de vie de la batterie puisque je viens d'obtenir l'appareil, mais je peux dire qu'elle se charge rapidement par le fil USB et elle semble bien garder sa charge au fur et à mesure d'utilisations. Un très bon achat que je recommande à tous et à toutes sans aucune hésitation.

Great little thing for audio backup during speeches

I saw reviews of this on youtube primarily as a wedding recording device, so I was hesitant to buy it. I am not a wedding photographer. I have been trying to record my dreams. I know my phone has a voice recorder, but the number of button presses to get to the voice recorder and the light in my face makes me forget the dream and unable to fall back asleep. Seems silly maybe, but that's legitimately my use case. The most important feature for me, then, was to be able to record with a single button press reliably. I looked at a lot of cheaper options, and was unable to confirm that they are able to record as simply as with a single button press. This one very much does. I can roll over half asleep, grasp this wonderfully small sized thing, fumble for the contoured button on the side, press it, and a half second later it'll beep and a little light will come on. I mutter into it with it half in my mouth so quiet that I won't wake my partner, and it records with high enough fidelity that I can understand it later. Terrific. You can turn off the beep if you want, too, though you do need to turn the device off after the one-press recording (or just leave it on). 2nd most important: It's USB - C. I refuse to buy non-usb-c products anymore. I'm cutting down on weird cables. 3rd most important: It records the date in the filenames. This is good for me transcribing dream journals and knowing the date the thing was recorded. Overall, no complaints. A bit pricey, but feels nice and solid, with great size point and solid-feeling materials.
