Maybelline Mascara Lash Sensational Sky High Lengthening Black Waterproof

This mascara does exactly what you’d hope for at a drugstore price. It lengthens and separates lashes really nicely without clumping, and gives a clean, defined look. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve tried in this price range. Application & Results: The wand makes it easy to coat all the lashes, even the smaller ones, and it builds up well without looking heavy. Lashes look longer and lifted straight away. The only slight downside is that it doesn’t always last the whole day, so you might need a top up if you’re going from morning through to night. Quality & Value: For the price it’s excellent value. It performs just as well as more expensive mascaras I’ve used and is easy to remove at the end of the day without pulling at lashes. Pros: ✅ Lengthens and separates lashes well ✅ Doesn’t clump, lightweight formula ✅ Easy to apply with a good wand ✅ Affordable drugstore price Cons: ❌ Doesn’t always last all day Final Verdict: A great everyday mascara that gives a lovely finish without the cost of higher-end brands. My go too mascara for years was the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel mascara in waterproof, but it was discontinued and as I normally really like the brands mascaras - they’re usually my go too when looking for something new - I tried the the Maybelline Sky High Waterproof Mascara as an alternative and really enjoyed it and the effect on my lashes. It really does give a good amount of lengthening so long as I’ve curled my eyelashes, I like the brush, it doesn’t flake or smudge and isn’t too clumpy until it gets a little dried out. The drying out is the issue. I wear two coats of mascara on my lashes and I seem to go through this quicker than any other I’ve used, and I know that part of the reason for this is it being waterproof, which tends to dry out quicker. However, this is beyond any other formula I’ve used, and how quickly it dries out I think is also down to the packaging. Having gone through at least six of these tubes, every time, on ever tube, whether I bought through Amazon or at the supermarket, the stopper gets pushed down into the bottle rendering it open to the air. The first time this happened I didn’t even notice, and it had gone so far down into the tube that I had to use forceps to retrieve it. With ever subsequent tube I’ve caught it earlier and had to pull it back with tweezers and remove ever bit of mascara from the wand to prevent it happening every day I use it. But this flaw in the stopper I believe is helping it dry out quicker and preventing me from ever actually feeling like I truly finish a tube. (I’ve also seen in other reviews lots of people have the opposite issue that the stopper gets stuck up in the lid of the tube similarly rendering the tube open to the elements.) I really like this mascara, I wouldn’t have kept buying it if I didn’t, but in all honesty I feel like for the price I’m not getting enough usage out of it to make it worth the money. Maybe the non waterproof version is better, I know a lot of people rave about it, but I have watery eyes and stubbornly straight eyelashes which means I need waterproof to get through the day. I think the tube I’ve just finished will the the last for a while, as I try some alternatives for this and other brands.

Best mascara I’ve ever used. Keeps my lashes long and in place for ages. Didn’t smudge. Can be a little difficult to remove, but with proper eye makeup remover it comes off well.

I have been using Sky High waterproof for years. It's been amazing, giving a long lash effect and not shifting no matter what. I just bought this item much cheaper than usual and can confidently say it's not the same. It doesn't give the length, and it runs at the first sign of a watering eye. I have experienced it literally all being gone from my lashes on a day where my eyes were streaming, and that NEVER happened before. Very disappointed.

Popular for a reason, I can literally wear it all day and wake up the next morning with it having not smudged under my eyes. The lift and hold is great, the pigment is excellent, and it's hardly clumpy, especially if you warm it up first. This will never stop being my main mascara, especially as someone who likes to make fun shapes with their lashes using tweezers, you can pinch them together and it sticks like glue, SO easy to play with. If you want fun makeup, or functional makeup, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this.

This product is good. I really liked how my eyelashes looked and the fact that it is sorta waterproof. On the other hand, taking this off my eyelashes was hell on earth. I tried different products and creams to help the process but to no avail. I have lost so many of my eyelashes to this product that I won't ever use it again. I didn't even finish it. Instead, I purchased wonderlash from Primark. It's absolutely lush and cheaper! It does the same job, probably even better, and I get to keep my eyelashes! Yay! It's not waterproof but I don't care.

Auf meinem Foto sieht man genau, wie ich sie immer benutze – in Kombination mit einer Wimpernzange. Und ehrlich gesagt: Diese Kombination ist einfach perfekt. Wenn man zuerst die Wimpern ordentlich mit der Zange formt und dann direkt danach die Mascara aufträgt, bekommt man wirklich diesen „offenen Augen“-Effekt, fast wie künstliche Wimpern. Die Mascara trennt die Wimpern super, verlängert sichtbar und sorgt für ein richtig schönes Volumen – ohne gleich zu klumpen (wenn man weiß, wie man sie aufträgt). Am besten in mehreren dünnen Schichten arbeiten, damit sie nicht zu schwer wird. Das Ergebnis hält dann wirklich den ganzen Tag, und selbst bei Regen, Tränen oder Hitze verschmiert nichts. Was mir persönlich gefällt, ist, dass die Wimpern nicht hart und starr werden, sondern noch leicht flexibel bleiben – das sieht natürlicher aus. Aber man darf wirklich nicht zu viel Produkt auf einmal auftragen, sonst kann’s schnell zu viel werden. Ein Punkt, der wichtig ist: Sie ist extrem wasserfest. Das ist einerseits ein Plus, weil sie wirklich hält – selbst beim Sport oder im Sommerurlaub – aber gleichzeitig ein Nachteil beim Abschminken. Mit normalem Make-up-Entferner bekommt man sie kaum ab. Ich benutze dafür ölhaltige Abschminkprodukte oder spezielle zweiphasige Augen-Make-up-Entferner – anders geht’s fast nicht.

This is by far one of the best waterproof mascaras I have ever used. It gives my lashes amazing length and volume without clumping. It stays in place all day, even in rain, humidity, or during workouts, and it doesn’t smudge or flake. The brush separates the lashes beautifully, making them look longer and fuller while still looking natural. The only thing to keep in mind is that because it is truly waterproof, you’ll need a good eye makeup remover to take it off. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a long-lasting mascara that delivers beautiful results.
