The Foamory White EVA Foam Sheet - 6mm Thick 14x39 inch Cosplay Craft Foam

Great quality foam, perfect for a helmet. This was my first time using EVA foam, and it was perfect. The size fit my pattern very well.

I got the 1mm thick roll for starters, just to get my feet wet on the costume building. I've been working with styrene for a while, so I was anticipating this to be another time consuming process. Hell no. This is so easy to work with, tape holds it in place but doesn't remove material with it. Standard scissors cuts right through it like thick printer paper. Precision cuts with an xacto knife? Send it. Sturdy enough at 1mm I'm eager to see how the thicker pads hold their own for future projects. The white foam holds sharpie color well, no dragging or snagging of the marker tip when tracing templates. Super light, packaging was so small I was worried I got sent the wrong thing. The foam looks great, no smudges from using the sharpies! I'll edit the review with a photo of the finished product as long as the PU Leather glove holds up during assembly. I'm a believer, I'm convinced, and I'll be hard pressed to find something better!

I'm not a cosplayer, so I can't claim to be an EVA foam connoisseur or anything like that. I bought the 2mm and 4mm thick sheets to use for insoles and midsoles respectively on the moccasin and iron age style "primitive footwear" I like to make for myself. The sheets were pretty uniform, there were not any obvious defects or tears anywhere, using scissors they cut cleanly without deformation, sanded smoothly, and stood up to being punched and stitched onto the lowers. A combination of Barge contact cement and E6000 glue around the perimeter worked to anchor the 2mm rubber outsoles over the top. The combination makes for a lightweight, very flexible, zero rise, low stack height (just under 1cm) shoe, with the right bit of squish to take the edge off of standing on hard surfaces all day. These sheets will also be used in other pairs of shoes and boots and I will buy them again once my current supply runs out.

My first time working with Eva foam and so I don’t know much about it. The foam comes with a QR code that links to an instructions and advice page though! I thought that was super cool. The foam is super easy to cut and takes glue well, I used a hot glue gun. OBSERVE! MY FINISHED SHOULDER ARMOR!

It was the thickness I was looking for. It didn't cut as easy as I would have liked. But for my project, it worked just fine.

worked well enough. all i needed was to add a cuff to some rubber boots. help the flex seal coating well, but the flex seal had it's own issues. so the project as a whole had some set backs. be warned, contact cement doesn't hold to the foam to good. but overall it feels firm and durable. the thickness was perfect for the job

Thanks I bought this for comped tickets to Blizzcon 2023. Of course I had to do a cosplay. I got a $8 heat gun here on Amazon. It’s worked beautifully for my foam armor set. I definitely recommend spending what needs spent to get The Foamory brand. It’s used a great deal less uv resin than others. It will save you tons of money in the long run. It molds like a dream. I made a dress form of my body using movers plastic wrap and duct tape, stuffed with old grocery bags. Then I attached it to the mannequin dress form I also own. I put the supportive structural undergarments on it and viola!! Pinned the 1mm foam into the desired shape. With the heat gun I made divets, lines, and a molded fit. I think next time I’ll be using a thicker foam as 1mm is difficult to get more. East to cut. Even easier to cure and paint. The shape held up after removing the pins and coating with uv gel throughout the curing and finishing process for foam armor!! I’ll post photos after I’ve attended Blizzcon 2023!!

I was limited only by my own skills and experience. The foam itself was great. Here's how I used it: I made a wrestling title belt, just for fun. The materials we needed were two thicknesses of this foam (I went with 5mm for the main shapes, and a 2mm for details), a roll of faux leather, leather sewing tools, gesso, silver spray paint, foam glue, a snap button kit, and an oil based paint marker for finishing touches. I've never done anything like this before, but after reading only one tutorial I wanted to try it for myself. So I made a stencil on paper, and then cut out all the pieces using scissors and an x-acto knife. I sewed the main shapes to the faux leather (because the tutorial said foam wouldn't glue to leather well, but I didn't try for myself), and then glued on the detail pieces. Then I covered the leather with painter's tape, so only the foam is exposed and put two coats of spray gesso. When that was dry I used silver spray paint to make it look like metal. The paint was much shinier when wet, and got kind of dull after drying. If I do this again, I think I'll try another coat of paint. The can said a clear coat was not recommended, otherwise I would have given it a glossy finish. Then I hammered the snap buttons on, which was really fun. And after the paint had a couple days to dry, I used an oil based paint sharpie to draw the finishing touches. There are sloppy spots, and things I would do differently. But I learned many things, and it was easy and fun.

I could t believe my eyes when I saw it, the EVA was not even properly cut it was ripped from both ends like someone cut it with their hand and the worst part it was (white) Eva with footsteps on it. That is outrageous and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Me sirvió muy bien para un prop y soporte para unas orejas, el precio me parece bueno para la cantidad de material y su calidad.

Es buena densidad y calidad, pero el valor que tiene no le hace justicia, una esterilla del mismo material del que suelo comprar en el bazar por 10 € menos, tiene 3 veces más cantidad tanto a lo largo como de ancho que la que se vende. Ahora que sea buena esta marca no digo que no, pero el precio no le hace justicia a la cantidad que se da.
