Such a wonderfully welcome blast from the past! I grew up with this mustard and it really is the one I like best for hot dogs. People who know me sometimes shake their heads—with amusement, horror, or a blend of both, frankly—because of how many mustards I have. In my defense, this purchase brought the current total to five, but I use all of them and they each have specific applications. And, yes, sometimes I buy a given food item because I am in the mood for a particular mustard, but I'll bet you do weird things, too, sometimes. And, if you don't, maybe you should. Anyway, this mustard has a gorgeous combination of spicy bite, complex flavor, and enough acid to cut the richness of higher-fat hotdogs (of any type). If you haven't tried a spicy mustard before, it might be helpful to know that it's a different kind of heat than, say, hot peppers. It is cleaner, is on the leading edge of the tasting, and then morphs into a beautifully mellow, very slightly bitter umami booster. Even if you always order Mexican or Indian food on the mild setting, try this out. And it doesn't linger in your mouth and gut, making you question your life choices the way that other kinds of spiciness can. It arrived sealed and tastes fresh and delicious. The consistency makes it thick enough to stay where you put it, while also being easy to get out of the container. Also, though I mainly use it for hotdogs, it's also a great sub for Chinese mustard in a pinch when cooking, and it can be a delightful component in a marinade or similar flavoring element. I've used it in combination with other ingredients to rub on the outside of lamb before roasting or grilling, and also on pork roast. This mustard is a sleeper hit. Great value for money, and part of a multi-generation tradition.

My husband is from just outside of Cleveland. And he grew up eating this mustard on hot dogs, and burgers. Where we live the only way we can get it is through Amazon or when his family sends it to us. It is a really good mustard and gives my husband a taste of home.

I LOVE BALLPARK MUSTARD! I grew up in Cleveland, Oh and we had it at all the pro games! Here in Tx and in Louisiana no one knows what it is! Great taste, fresh and the expiration date is about a year out. Love this mustard! Especially good on hotdogs and brats! Cook with it on chicken!
