Super happy and very surprised at the quality
I was very nervous to buy these. I got sucked into the Beats hype when they first came out, and ended up getting a pair of Beats for Christmas a few years ago. I hated them - too heavy, too odd-sounding, and just overall disappointing. I ended up selling them to a friend shortly afterwards, and sticking with my ancient Sennheisers. Upon receiving the iPhone 7, I was fine with staying with the stock headphones that came with the phone with the lightning connector. Except that they're awful. Unlike the pair I still have from my iPhone 6 (that came with the phone), I've gone through 4 pairs of headphones for the 7. They're incredibly cheap and very fragile. I decided to go with Bluetooth headphones after much debate, and bought a few pairs before finally giving up and spending the money on these. I bought them used, which is normally the kiss of death when it comes to electronics, but it was what I could afford, so I took my chances. It came with a few months of AppleCare and factory sealed ear pieces, original case, etc., so I went with them. They arrived promptly and well packaged. I charged them and used them on my commute to school the next day, which is around an hour, give or take how nice the trains want to be that day. My last pair (Skullcandy) had a decent battery life, but the connectivity was AWFUL. Literally every time I turned my head or put my phone in my pocket, I was greeted with horrendous static and choppy music or podcasts. The pair before that (JLab) had the most laughable battery I've ever encountered with Bluetooth headphones. I'd get about 2 hours out of those before they simply died. Shockingly, these have been wonderful. I can clean around my whole apartment with my phone in the living room and I hear everything perfectly. I don't feel that these, unlike my wired Beats, have bass that is odd or too overpowering on audio that doesn't require or have excessive bass. The battery is great too, and they do last me my commute to and from school, as well as several hours walking around town or cleaning the apartment, which is great - I listen to a lot of music and podcasts while doing things around the city, and battery life is very important to me. The fit is a little bizarre - I'm really not crazy about the plastic piece that goes around the ear, but I've learned to accept it. For the battery life and connectivity, it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make. The earpiece that goes in the ear fits well, so while I do need to shift the headphones around every so often, they at least don't completely fall out of my ear. Again, for me, that's an acceptable issue. Perhaps in the future, they could make the outside plastic piece out of a more forgiving and flexible material - if I could bend it to actually fit around me ear, they'd be great. All in all, I really like them - something I've never said when I owned my original Beats. I hope they last a long time, or at least long enough to have for the duration that I have my iPhone 7.

Product Review of Powerbeats3
Last April I purchased a pair of Powerbeats3 Wireless In-Ear Headphones off of Amazon. If you are looking for a pair of wireless headphones that excel in all situations look no further than the Powerbeats3. The most important features of these headphones include: • Wireless Bluetooth connection • 12 hour battery life • Quick charge capability • Water resistant • Comfortable The most important feature on the Powerbeats3 is the Bluetooth connection. The Powerbeats3 are equipped with new “Class 1” Bluetooth technology, this allows the headphone to connect to your device faster, and after the first time they will pair automatically. Little things like this set these headphones apart from cheaper Bluetooth headphones. This advanced Bluetooth technology is designed to work with Iphones. This is especially nice since Apple removed the headphone jack when they came out with the Iphone 7. Another important feature is the 12 hour battery life, allowing you to use your headphones extensively before being required to recharge. On top of great battery life the Powerbeats3 come equipped with a feature called “Fast Fuel”, this lets you charge the headphones up to one hour of battery life in just five minutes. This is invaluable when you forget to charge the headphones, and mitigates one of the biggest downsides of Bluetooth headphones. In the Beats family of headphones the Powerbeats3 are the headphone most focused towards working out. Because of this the headphones are sweat and water resistant, so you don’t need to worry about ruining the headphones from walking in the rain or getting wet. Also due to the workout focus of this product the Powerbeats3 have an ear loop on each headphone. This ear loop ensures that your headphones never get shaken out of place and actually allow the headphones to be worn much more comfortably. Because of the ear loop you don’t have to shove and twist the ear pods into your ear, they just sit in the perfect position. In addition to the ear loops the Powerbeats3 come with 4 different sizes of ear bud to ensure a perfect fit for any ear. Last but not least, these headphones sound great. Beats headphones are known for having a lot of bass and despite their small size the Powerbeats3 live up to the billing. The sound is clear and the headphones can get very loud compared to similar sized headphones. All in all the Powerbeats3 are a great purchase for someone looking for comfortable functional workout headphones, or just someone who wants to cut the cord on their headphones and not sacrifice performance to do so.

Excellent Headphones!
I bought these to use primarily with my Apple products, since they have the W1 Bluetooth chip to make iOS/MacOS pairing fast and easy. I use these to listen to music, TV, and also for online conferencing (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc). They work well in all cases. Sound quality is excellent for music, as well as for conferencing. The microphone is very sensitive, so it sometimes picks up more background noise than I like, but overall it's not a problem. The battery life is excellent! Twelve hours of music listening is truly possible. When using them for conferencing, the battery life is shorter, because they are constantly sending/receiving, versus just receiving buffers of music. But they still last long enough to attend even the longest conference calls. Charging is fast, with a full (0-100) charge taking about 90 minutes. But they also have a cool feature (Fast Fuel) where a five-minute charge will power them for at least 60 minutes. So, if you forget to charge them at night, charging them during the drive to the gym will be enough to last for a full workout. I use these in the gym, and they are sweatproof (not waterproof!), so you can get them damp with sweat and they will not fail. They are also built very well, and will hold up as long as they are treated well. They come with a flexible case that's a little strange, but once I figured out how to wrap the cables before inserting the headset in the case, it works very well, and is compact enough to fit in a pocket. I definitely plan to use these as long as possible, and have no need to seek out anything else to replace them.

Comfortable, easy pairing, good battery life... but shuts off in the cold :(
I have a little armada of bluetooth headphones, mostly in the $20-or-under category from Mpow, Photive, Anker, and the like. Some are clunky but serviceable, with decent battery life but uninspired interfaces (MPow), some are convenient but don't stay in the ears well (Photive), and some are just baffling and make you want to cry because of poor design decisions (I'm looking at you, Anker). I haven't usually invested in pricier headphones because it seems like these things tend to die within a year or so. However, after seeing various positive reviews, I finally decided to give these a whirl. At first, the left ear was comfy, but the right ear wasn't a great fit (it tugged/pressed in a distracting way). I don't know if my ear has been trained over the last week, or if maybe the headphones molded a bit to my ear shape, but they're perfectly comfortable now. The real advantage, though, is pairing. I can seemlessly use them across multiple devices by simply choosing them in the airplay settings, rarely needing to go to bluetooth preferences to manually "connect". Other bluetooth devices require lots of manual connecting or disconnecting to micromanage which source they're listening to, but the Powerbeats just stay paired with whatever device you select them from. The sound itself is, well, OK. I'm using these mostly for exercising, wandering around outside, and doing chores in the house, so they're fine for that. And the mic seems to be OK, but not great. (It's hard to tell what is a problem with the mic, and what's a problem with the quality of my cell connection, though) The only drawback (and, actually, it's a pretty big bummer) is that if you walk outside in them in modestly cold weather, they shut themselves off after a little while. You can be walking along and suddenly get the "disconnecting" sound, and if you try to turn them back on, the white light just blinks. I haven't tested it extensively, but it seems to happen most when the temperature is below about 25°F out. If you live somewhere warmer, this wouldn't be an issue, but sadly, it makes them useless for running or walking around in colder climates :( Overall, if they last a reasonably long time, the extra money seems to be worthwhile in terms of convenience, but don't ditch your cold-weather back-up option.

Great for Running! But Don't Expect for Noise Canceling!
I read review after review after review for 6+ weeks and all of them were very polarized. It seemed that you either liked them or did not. After reading many of the negative reviews, it looked like they were defects with the product, and that the product didn't work properly. I wish that they would write about the product once they got a new product that did work. Anyways, I got mine and have tested them out. Charge took 15 minutes and then I was up and running. To pair them to my iPhone 7 couldn't have been easier. Hold the powerbutton next to your phone and boom, it asks you to connect and it did. After that I would turn them off, and play music on my phone and then turn them on, and the music went to the headphones automatically. Perfect. As for the W1 chip and the battery, I left them on all night playing music from my phone (phone was plugged in). I woke up with music still going strong, this was 7.5 hrs. As for the sound, the bass is great. not to loud, but you can feel it. And for other music without bass, I'm a big fan of musicals, it was all crystal clear. These are better than the air pods from Apple and actually better the my Skull Candy over ear headphones that I use for running. The fit was good, but had to swap out the ear buds for a smaller size to fit my ear. These are exercise headphones, NOT noise cancelling. And because of that you can hear some outside noise, this is for the safety of athletes (runners, like me who run in the city). If you want noise cancelling headphones, DO NOT get these. But they are solid, the ambient noise is minimal and does not affect the quality of these headphones. The only thing I do not like is the case, but that should not make it lose a star as that is not the headphones. These are great for running and last a long time and fit really good with great sound quality.

They pretty much never leave my ears.
SO solid. They're fantastic for working out. Once I started using them in the gym, they became my instant favorites. I like that the earpieces are shapeable and that there are quite a few options of earbud tips included. Connection is quick and easy. The range seems to be pretty dang good. I once walked about 20 yards away from my phone before hearing the signal breaking and realizing that I had left my phone in a completely different section of the gym. The sound quality is actually really good and wholesome, and very bassey when it comes to workout music. I think Beats says they have a 12-hr battery life, and it's honestly about right. I'm pretty surprised that they were able to get 12 hours and good sound quality out of such a compact design. I have really small ears, and I usually avoid in-ear headphones because I had never owned a pair that stayed in my ears. These came with a really small bud tip which is a little closer to the size i need, and when paired with the ear hooks, they stay in pretty nicely. The only annoying thing about the fit is that when I turn my head, the wire usually snags on my neck or my shirt, which pulls them out of my ear just a bit. It's really not a big deal, though, because any other headphones would usually just pop out of my ear entirely. For working out, these are just about perfect. It's honestly such a relief not having to worry about wires getting caught or getting yanked from the phone. After trying Beats Studio Wireless headphones, I pretty much only get wireless headphones now. My last complaint is that I got the white ones (IMO the best looking ones (: ), but the loop in the middle dipped very briefly into tomato bisque and proceeded to stain forever. Even though the material is comfortable and sweat resistant, be careful and avoid staining them. In short, I love these. I've had quite a few beats products over the years, and although they are good, the price was usually for the aesthetics of the products. Powerbeats, however, really do offer something that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. I have not found any workout headphones that are better, and I'm gonna be keeping these until they die. Then I'll probably get another pair.

*EDIT* NOT The Best wireless headphones out there!
Love these headphones. I have been working out for YEARS with wired headphones, and I feel like I have been doing it wrong all along. I use these for running, lifting, working around the house, and everything in between. I 100% suggest these. IF you are looking for comparable headphones look to the JayBirdX3. I chose these because they are over the ear which are more secure when sweat starts to pour. *UPDATE* I originally posted this review after a few days use with the PowerBeats3, and unfortunately they soon met their demise. These headphones are FATALLY FLAWED. If you sweat a lot while exercising (which you should), then these headphones WILL FAIL. The remote (which is the part that houses the volume up/down, play/pause, and microphone) is not waterproof or even hardly water resistant. My first pair of headphones began turning down on their own without me being able to adjust the volume. After some time I was able to regain control but only for a short while. Eventually the headphones became completely useless due to this issue and I had to contact Apple and go to the Apple store to replace them. The second pair had this issue the very next day during my workout and I returned them to Apple. I now have JayBird X3s. These are not perfect either as I am battling a weak bluetooth signal problem, but they don't fail like the PowerBeats3. BEWARE!!

Questionable Reliability.
Much as I love the design, these headphones are NOT made to endure the rigors of workouts, which is what they are specifically designed for. Let me give you a timeline. Day 1: Earbuds received. Charged in a couple hours and connected via Bluetooth to phone. Easy as pie. Sound quality good, fit and finish nice. Happy so far. Day 5: On my third run with these the volume on my music phantomly changes up and down 3 or 4 times during the course of an hour. Day 10: After several more workouts the issue persists, only now the volume goes up to max and then down to zero constantly. In between this already annoying experience, the pause button on the earphone remote begins to pause the music once a minute or so. Day 12: I call Apple (who now owns Beats) customer service and they suggest a reset of the headphones. After doing this the remote ceases to work at all. Clearly the issue here is moisture getting into the remote and shorting something out. Something you may expect from a cheap pair of $15 earbuds, not from a $150 pair of earbuds, particularly when they are a week old. Don't believe my review? Take a look here at similar experiences here on amazon, and check the Apple website: A cumulative 2 star review with over HALF the reviews being negative as a result of the same issues I have had. I am the owner of many pairs of headphones, and this is by far the worst experience I have had yet. A few other notables: -The case is too small. the buds need to be crammed in to fit. Given their chincy feel, this seems like a bad idea. - the micro USB port is exposed and it takes a fair amount of effort to get it in and out of the earbuds for charging. -claimed battery life is up to 12 hours. at full charge and 50% volume battery was typically down to 80% after an hour of use. Doesn't add up. Also, I noticed even at full charge, the battery indicator on my phone never showed the earbuds to be above 96% -Ear fit is good with various sized buds, but they are a pain to change. Then again, who cares how they fit if you can't listen to your music. -the wire that goes behind your head is too short. It has a cheap plastic slider to adjust them tighter which seems unnecessary for anyone with a normal sized head. I wore the wire under my chin for running because it was more comfortable. All in all the design of these is fine and the fit is nice but the fatal flaw is in their durability. if you're up for the challenge of buying, returning, exploring warranty policies, calling customer service and printing return labels then by all means buy them. If you want a pair of rugged earbuds to get you through your workout then look elsewhere. Apple and Beats dropped the ball on these.
