Good for 1st - 3rd Graders
You have to stencil and cut the shapes out yourself to glue onto the little lanterns, so it took some patience in the beginning. But my 7 yo son liked picking which paper pattern he wanted to use to create the different animals, and we made all the lanterns in about 2 days, he liked it and kept going back to make the next one. Makes a good activity for kids old enough to draw stencils, cut shapes, and glue carefully.

Move on to another klutz kit
We have many klutz kits and this was my least favorite. The patents were just ok looking and quite hard to make. I would skip this one and look into the many other amazing klutz kits. Our favorites are the clay, erasers, and friendship bracelets.

a great craft
My daughter and I worked on this one rainy day and it provided a few hours of fun. She and I loved designing the animals and then hanging them in her room to display. I bought another one recently because she wanted to make more!

Adorable
Very cute art project! My daughter was only able to help with some of it but she loved the lantern. We had to use a different glue then what came with it.

Theirs only 6lanterns if you want to make the other animals you have to rebuy the whole kit again.
I loved making these but I am an adult. My little girl found it hard to cut some of the pieces so she wouldn’t do it. I ordered three kits and made all the animals to hang from her shelf. I wish you could just buy the lantern kit instead of the whole kit.

Fun project but younger ones need help
This was a really fun craft to enjoy doing with my granddaughters. Several choices made it easy for each one to choose something they wanted to make. Everything you need to do the projects is included except scissors. A word or two of advice: impress on your artists to use tiny dabs of glue and encourage them to cut out all their project pieces first. My girls are 6 and 7 and needed my full attention and help.

So these are adorable and fun to make but they are TINY! I bought them for a lantern parade thinking they were big. Check size dimensions :)

Cute, but Small
Cute, but very small project. Grandkids ages 10, 8, and 7 enjoyed putting them together.
