Organic Medjool Dates: 2 lb. Loose

I normally got their dates in the smaller containers, so I was happy to find a value box. I found the smaller cartons to be better tasting, but the box is much better value. Most other brands I have tried are delivered very sticky. These are nice and dry and easy to handle without making a mess of your hands. They are also the best tasting. None were mushy. They were very firm and chewy. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are shipped in a simple box with a wax paper liner. It's not sealed in any way. This may contribute to them being firmer and possibly more dried out, but I like it that way so I don't count that against the review.

These figs are so freaking good. A few a day keeps the doc away. Seriously mpist yet firm.

I’ve ordered most dates off Amazon. These are by far the best, freshest, etc. The size is large, they’re the perfect chewiness. Great for baking or in smoothies and clearly organic. I highlight recommend

I am a Date and Goodie Foodie. I've tried many brands, but Rancho Meladuco Organic Medjool Dates are by far, the most delicious, succulent, chubby dates that have ever landed on my lips. They are better than candy! So sweet and satisfying. I eat them in between meals, use them in cookies, muffins, oatmeal, biscuits, etc. I also grind them up and use them as a coffee substitute. Delicious! Without reservation, I choose these dates!

they may vary from box to box - too many were tough dry tasteless - maybe packed in cardboard contributed to drying them out - suitable for boiling into syrup

I’ve been eating dates for almost 20yrs. I’ve tried many different brands and also different varieties of dates. BUT THIS BRAND IS THE BEST!!! Sweet, moist, flavorful, and no mold growing on inside of dates like other brands. Will purchase again. Also, I really like that it comes in an eco friendly container instead of toxic plastic container. Edit: I have purchased these three times now but the third time, the dates arrived fermented. Ew. They were super mushy and wreaked of fermentation. Thankfully Amazon refunded me. It was the version in the cups, the ones I bought in the boxes were not fermented.

Very dry and stale old moldy dates. Don’t buy them.

You think you know your dates. You buy them organic from your favorite local veggie market. Then a houseguest from SoCal brings you a box of Rancho Meladuco dates. Oh. My. Goodness. Did a literal compare/contrast as I still had locally purchased dates on hand. The difference is startling. Meladuco dates are noticeably more plump. Their skin is as satin smooth as the red ribbon on the box. Absolutely delicious, moist, rich, and with charming & important information about dates all over the box. Don't even think about it: just order.
