U-TAP HDMI Simple USB 3.0 Powered HDMI Capture

I initially bought a BMD for the same features, but it didn't work fully with my Mac, so I bought this for a bit more cost. It's worth it to have something that works properly. I'm very happy with my purchase.

It is easy to install and use. Also, its applicability is wide, and it easily integrates with the applications I use for video conferencing, like Zoom and Facebook Messenger, giving crisp and clear images.

Worked perfectly for our capture software that was built into our online actioning software.

Such a great product! Definitely worth the price! The video quality is excellent and a great cheaper alternative to the blackmagic webpresenter if you only need one camera or video feed going in to the computer (like if you have a single camera or video mixer). I tried out some of the cheaper options that claim to do the same thing and the video quality suffers. Honestly this is a good middle of the road price and delivers excellent quality! Thank you U-TAP for such a great product! If you need more functionality and options, I recommend the Blackmagic webpresenter with the front panel added, but that is like double the price for all those extra options, so if you just need something simple, this is it! I also love that it doesn't require external power - it is powered right out of the usb! So if your camera and laptop are both battery powered, you could potentially run a whole streaming set-up without external power! Either way, it is one last plug and one last device you have to worry about getting power too! Great product!

This AJA U-TAP HDMI Simple USB 3.0 Powered HDMI Capture device is great but not perfect. The only thing I do not like about it is that that LED lights to indicate if the USB is on or that the camera is on are on the opposite sides and not the top. Due to the location, I ended up mounting this under the desk but it would not have mattered where it sites you cannot see the LED lights indication what is on. If they would move the LED to the top so you could see them. This device would be perfect if that was the case, but it's not. It's still a great item and I would highly recommend it.

You get a human when you call tech support. A real live one. How novel is that? Terrific unit. Plug and play. No hassles.

Using this to convert camera images for use in my laptop with OBS for streaming to the internet. Make sure your internet upload speeds are good or images with be uneven and do lots of spooling at the website.
