Nikwax Nubuck & Suede Proof, 125ml, Spray-On Waterproofing Restores DWR Water Repellency in Textured Leather Footwear, Shoe & Boot Care and Rain Protection

Water-proofed my suede shoes. Definitely works but be wary of the fabric being affected.

I was nervous to try this, but glad I did. I used in conjunction with the Nikwax cleaning gel. I was worried it would be splotchy and uneven, but it looks fine. There is one faded streak in one spot, which I think is due to the cleaning gel and will probably come out the next time I clean them (if that's ever even needed). As others mentioned, there was a bit of darkening to the color, which I expected. One of my pictured shows this where I pull out the boot tongue for comparison (I didn't really treat the inner overlap of the tongue). Another picture shows how water just beads off of them now. I only braved holding them under the faucet for about 2 seconds, so not sure when they would start absorbing water. I used about half of the bottle, but I ended up going back in to release one of the boots and having to spray it a second time haha.

Funny glue smell upon application but fades after drying. Dries quickly. I did around 3 applications. I preferred to cover with light coats multiple times. I noticed some videos show heavy spraying but that felt scary and possibly damaging.

Worth every cent. Will buy again. Sprayed my coach suede purse and it works!

Used this on multiple pairs of shoes and a suede bag, no stains so far and easy to apply. There is a slight scent when you initially apply it, but nothing that lasts.

Dries quickly and works well. Used it over metallic fabric paint on old pair of birks.

I used something else like this on some of my hiking boots in the past worked fine. but this product was not good for my new boots. This brand has been great for my camping gear. I specifically chose this specifically for adding some water resistance to my nubuck boots. I actually bought 2 cans to use for my wife's shoes and a refresh on an old jacket. Well this killed the look of 1 pair of my new boots. Not only did they darken, but the texture went away. I used the rest of the other brand on the other pair of boots, no issues with texture or color. I watched several videos and searched reviews to help me choose this. Its an easier product to get, but im disappointed in the results. Luckily it came in small cans, they will be easier to for target practice on the range.

Works well on some expensive boots I bought. Worn in wet weather in Iceland all week and protected my boots.

Does the job was caught in a heavy rain so it’s about 80% dry

Works extremely well and the spray bottle is better than an aerosol product as you do not have to worry about inhaling any toxic vapours. This is a low odour product as well, sprayed outside then brought boots in after 10-15 mins, no issues with lingering odour/fumes. Would recommend buying to protect your new footwear from the ravages of snow, ice, road salt, rain and other weather that may result in cold wet feet and a sad day.

Very easy to use and did not discolor the suede shoes I used it on.
