I've been supplementing with vitamin C for decades and have come to hate tablets. I prefer capsules for the ease of swallowing. I cannot make claims as to the efficay of vitamins, even vitamin C. However, I can say that I take a number of NOW brand vitamins and the quality, I am pursuaded, is very good. There are no odors to the capsule, though some may find the size too big. If that's the case, go smaller. I take three of these daily and have no side effects- your mileage may vary especially if you are just starting and you've not taken over a gram of C per day. Recommended.

When I megadose with vitamin C during illness, my skin looks amazing. So I recommend for both collagen/skin care and immune health. :) I have read that if you take a lot, it can raise estrogen, so I take 5-10g/day only when sick, and drink lots of water because it draws water into the colon, so drink a lot when you take high doses to keep everything regular. I also get sick for maybe 2-3 days, rather than the 10-14 days for the common cold. And it definitely helps my skin after dosing vitamin c for 3 days. Also known as Ascorbic Acid - you can find it in powder form and it does the same thing. You can weight it or measure it with a teaspoon. I think 1 tsp is approx. 1 gram or 1000mg. I use both, and the capsules are just more convenient for portioning into a daily vitamin container. Good stuff to have on hand!

The capsules are easy enough to swallow. I’ve been taking it regularly and it does what it’s supposed to do. I knocked off one star because of the aftertaste. It’s not terrible, but noticeable. That said, for the value and quantity you get, it’s still a great buy and I’ve reordered.
