Artistic Wire Spiral Maker, Large

This handy "Spiral Maker" is a very good accessory for making good quality wire spirals. We have just started making our own jewelry and wanted to add a little more flair. Here are my observations: Setup - 1) Cut three 1.5" pieces of the same wire you will be wrapping 2) Loosen the three thumb screws and loop one of the wire pieces around each post (see my picture in "Customer Images") 3) Tighten the thumb screws 4) Insert one of the two "Twisting Handles" (small or large) 5) Insert wire between posts and into slot in "Twisting Handle" 6) Twist wire to the size wanted 7) Remove "Twisting Handle" 8) Loosen thumb screws and remove spiral Pros - + Easy to Use; takes less than a minute to setup and start twisting wire + High Quality; this is a well made gadget + Works Well; used it on 20g wire with good results (see picture in "Customer Images") Cons - - Using wire as spacers on the thumb screws is a little cumbersome, but does work well once they are on This is a clever little tool and it certainly will save me time and allow for very consistent results. Highly Recommended

I love this thing. As you can see my spirals aren’t perfect, but with practice , anyone can use it. Remember if your changing the gauge wire, change your spacer wires also. Great tool, simple to use. Ideas are endless.

Size 20 wire did not fit well into the "key." I had to file down the end of the wire to get it into the notch on the key. Size 20 wire is not some freaky size; it's a size frequently used for making jewelry, etc. Size 22 works fine. The one drawback is that the spiral it makes is tightly wound, and not aesthetically pleasing. I solved this by winding heavy string in with the wire in order to separate the turns. This procedure takes a few trials, but the results are great.

the product i bought - the bigger more expensive one doesn't work at all. The parts don't fit. the small one is too small and because of that the wire doesn't make a spiral it gets curled around the shift and the bigger one doesn't fit the hole and cannot be used. it's not a product it is fraud. you can see from the first blink that it has not chance to do what it is supposed to do. I burned many hours and lots of material trying to figure out a solution - but the only one is to bin it.

The concept is incredibly unique but the execution has not been rewarding due to the outcome not being uniform upon completion!

Actually works as advertised! Works great, makes beautiful spirals easily.

If you plan to create spirals with fine wire (24-26 gauge) be aware: this model ships with 2 twisters, one for smaller wire, one for up to 20 gauge. The larger works fine, but the post on the smaller doesn't fit tight enough to keep the wire from slipping down and winding around the post. The video makes this look like a cinch, but it fails on very fine wire. Added 4/8/2016: Reduced to 2 stars after Beadalon rep acknowledged faulty design, but so far has not replaced.

This is working exactly as expected. Its design is simple and effective quickly providing smooth wire spirals and double spirals. It is compact and seems durably made. I put it and a roll of wire into a plastic bag and take it with me wherever I go and make coils whenever and wherever I have a chance.

The spirals are good, but the screws are very stiff and one of them does not turn at all making it quite unusable. At the moment I have a spiral stuck inside the device and cannot get it out, therefore I cannot make any more spirals.

bien me ha gustado , pero a partir de un tamaño queda muy suelto , no vale para espirales muy grandes

Large is even better than the regular Spiral Maker

Para hacer espirales pequeñas es ideal, pero cuando hay que hacerlas con más cable, se vuelve la cosa muy pesada. Luego está el montar y desmontar en cada espiral. Un poco tecloso y pierdes mucho tiempo.
