Bought to Replace Philips 60w Plant Light/Agro-Lite A19
So I bought these to replace my Philips 60w Agro-Lite A19 Plant Light bulbs. Those are getting increasingly harder to find. I also have my plants in my Home Office and by afternoon the room gets very hot with my grow lights on all day. I use those bulbs in regular floor pole lamps and table lamps. Anyway, I switched the bulbs out today and wow....the room is much brighter and cooler! We shall see how my plants like them. All of the bulbs that I installed work, now we'll see how long they last compared to the Philips bulbs. It really does look sunny in here now, so I'm hoping that the plants like it :) These are somewhat cheaper than what folks are charging for the Philips bulbs....when I can find the Philips bulbs. These bulbs arrived safely and nothing was broken. So far, so good. They are 900 Lumens, I don't know how many Lumens the Philips bulbs are because it's not on the packaging. These are 10,000 hour life (approx 416 days) which is about how long the Philips bulbs last. Again, we shall see! If they truly last that long, and my plants like them, I found my new go to grow bulbs! UPDATE MAY 1 2024: My plants are loving these bulbs. They are growing great, no more crispy leaf edges, and my Philo Brasil and Philo Prince of Orange are maintaining their color variations. My Ti's and Palms are rich greens. It's near to impossible now to find the Philips Agro 60 watt bulbs, so this definitely was a great purchase. UPDATE 5/6/26 The bulbs are still working and the plants are still growing! Definitely a great buy.

My Plants Love These Lights
The SunBlaster 13 Watt Grow Lamps worked great at providing additional light for my sun hungry succulents and houseplants. While I my plants generally get enough light throughout the day, I noticed some of my plants - particularly the succulents - started slowing significantly in growth. I tested moving my plants into a southern window and found my plants’ growth was at their best...unfortunately I only have so many southern facing windows and space near them. The SunBlaster grow lamps easily helped fill in my plant’s light needs without me having to bunch all my plants in a single area nor without me having to buy new lighting fixtures. I moved a few of my smaller plants under a lamp that’s in a room that gets some light, but not enough to allow something like succulents to thrive. The light is on for at least 6 hours in the fall months (roughly 6pm to midnight), and I found my plants are thriving there. My string of pearls and string of hearts are doing so well that I ended up putting another bulb in another lamp in my house so my peperomia and marble pothos can get more light - those plants are doing much better as well. The lightbulbs fit in standard light fixtures, provide ample cool lighting that plants grow towards, and seem to be long lasting and durable. My one complaint is that the lighting is very cool and sterile looking - but as long as my plants are happy and growing, I could really care less. These lights will not provide any warmth for your plants, so if you’re looking for something to keep your plants warm, you will need to look for a different bulb. Overall, these are a great set of grow lights that will help your plants grow better and won’t break your budget. They’re definitely worth trying out if you’re looking to add a little more light to your houseplants.

They are probably perfectly good for plants--but not what I prefer for reading under
I have ordered these SunBlaster's on three occasions. They do work well, however, the only caveat is, there seems to be a "Dud," in every four pack that doesn't last anywhere near the 10,000 hours they claim. Also be very careful--I just ordered two four packs from different shippers. They were advertised as "Green!" I thought they were referring to their use to "Green-up houseplants!" Not the case. I received the first four on Wednesday, December 30th (yesterday) When I finally cut away the really tough "ballistic strength" plastic cover (watch your fingers,) I screwed one back into my office lamp--to my horror, they do have a green glow to them!. I spent hours on the phone with Amazon Customer Service, creating return labels--since the first ones to arrive came with a bird feeder from a different shipper. So, BUYER BEWARE, If you want the bright, white, sunlight bulbs--don't buy the ones that have a "green dot" next to the picture and say "Green," in the subject line! They are probably perfectly good for plants--but not what I prefer for reading under. I use these for a den light in my torchier--because they are much brighter than conventional CFC's. I have only used the "White" variety on my plants with terrific results--that's another reason why I'm returning the "Green" SunBlasters.

Good value and happy plants
I have been using these bulbs since 2019, I run 2 bulbs at a time for my top of fridge house plants. They run 24/7(barring a power outage) and I end up buying a 4pk approx every 2 years. My plants are happy and the value is good, so I'm happy as well.

Plants leaned toward the light within a couple hours
I've used other types of plant lights which all worked just fine. But these "Sun Blaster" plant lights seem to be a bit better. They produce very little heat and are very bright. Within only a couple of hours of use, the plants under the light were "reaching" for it, with stems and leaves all pointing toward the light. This is also true for one cactus I have which grew a long thin flimsy extension on top (shaped like a drinking straw cut in half), the extension also leaned in the direction of the light after several hours. I've only used the lights for a couple days so far, so I cannot comment on how long they last or how well they work in the long term. But one added bonus is that in one room in my home which gets almost no sunlight, the room feels brightened as if I were outside. The light color is brilliant bright white with a hint of blue (not yellow like the sun), much like lights in an office setting. I've had no issues so far, no crackling noises, no malfunctions. Just bright light that the plants and I seem to enjoy. I will write an addendum to this review only if I find issues with these lights; otherwise readers can assume my experience with these lights has been a positive one. Addendum: Above was written in December 2016, now it is June 2022. Amazingly, I still have the original bulbs from the 2016 purchase, used about 8 hours a day ever since the purchase (except subtract one year I did not grow anything in 2019) and the bulbs are still going strong. Especially useful to keep my smaller outdoor plants alive indoors through the winter and begin sprouts indoors before Spring (like tomatoes and peppers). I have gotten so much use out of these light bulbs, but they do need to be close to the plants which depend on them.

Works great but quality is questionable.
I decided to give these a try to keep my herb plants growing during the winter months. The results exceeded my expectations as my plants have been thriving. Before I ordered I read that quality was potentially an issue. This morning I noticed the first of by bulbs has burned out. I'm still relatively happy as I have found a solution in having a readily supply of herbs for the winter months and that has great value. Now that I know these work, I'll be focused on quality as I replace.

Happy Happy Plant
I've had a philodendron since I was 19 years old (this is a whopping 30 years, for anyone who's counting!). I am also no great at growing things. I've often said that this plant survives in spite of me, not because of me. I digress... Currently, it sits on a stand on the landing between the second and third floors. There is a window there, but it's really high up, so Camilla (that's the plant because I give everything a name). While she does pretty well in low light (clearly nothing can kill this plant), I figured I'd hit her with some grow bulbs just to see what happens. I have a three bulb chandelier light fixture on that landing, hanging from cathedral ceiling height. I put one of these in each of the three shades, and this plant has exploded in growth. So, the bulbs are not close at all. In fact, they're pretty far away. I've always found this light fixture to be mostly useless, and until I put grow bulbs in it, we rarely turned it on. Now we turn it on when we get up in the morning and turn it off when the kids get home from school, so about eightish hours, and she's started to vine all over the place. I'm super happy with this purchase. So is the plant.

Great for indoor seed beds
I used these with clamp lights hanging from a metal shelf to start my seedlings. They are great. My seeds all germinated--nothing lost. My plantlings were in great shape when I transplanted. They give off a lot of 'sunlight' but not hot. Perfect

Sunburst is a great brand for plant grow lighting
I have a 48” Sunburst light bulb for my plants in my window that need full sun and use these bulbs for plants that only need some sunlight. They work well.

My plants love these lights
I've been using these grow lights for years. My plants seem to really enjoy them. Great for indoor plants as well as starting seeds for the garden. Can't go wrong with the price

Would recommend.
They’re great! I don’t think I would ever need a different brand. My plants love them and grow very strong and green. It’s been over 6 months and I still haven’t had to change the bulbs.

Some lights didn’t work straight out of the box
They work great - when they work! I ordered a few boxes and I had one light not working in almost every box.
