I couldn’t be happier with this Giraffe Tools retractable garden hose! From the moment I opened the box, the whole setup process was smooth and straightforward. It took me about 20 minutes to install—all the hardware was included, and the instructions were clear. Once mounted, it looks clean and professional on the wall, and the design blends nicely with the rest of my garage setup. The retracting mechanism works flawlessly, rolling up the hose quickly and neatly every time without any effort on my part. I use it daily, and so far it’s been durable, functional, and totally hassle-free. If you're looking for a solid retractable hose system that looks great and performs well, this is it. Highly recommend!

Easy to install, and I love the retractable feature of this product. Make sure you know the distance you are needing cause the 5/8 inch has less hose in the reel.

The product was packaged nicely. The installation was was easy. Literally the first time I used it retracted to fast and I was unable to grab the hose to slow it down. The part that stops the hose from retracting all the way into the unit went right into the unit. This made the white alignment part to come off. It was not broken. I fixed the white part by loosening the front of the unit and putting it back in place. The hose never worked the same after that. It did retract slower and the hose was more controllable. If you used the hose 110 feet out I would often have to assist the hose to go back into the unit. It didn’t matter if the hose was full or empty. I would have to feed the hose into the unit. Then at one point the hose got tangled in the unit housing. The only way to fix this was unfortunately to take the unit apart. This was somewhat of a tedious task due to all the screws. I was able to untangle it and put it back together. After that the hose will only retract into the housing maybe 30 feet when extended to 100 ft. I now have those hose just laying in the middle of the yard. So in all to much work for me to coat that much money. The product broke the first day. I did give it a chance by trying to make the product work. I am past the return date. One star merely for packaging and ease of installation. Update: the company sent me a new one with little no no hassle. Quality customer service! It seems that the original one I got was in fact unlucky. The new one works great. The only observation I can can make Is is that my old hose box (the broken one) is in heavy sun and the grey color did fade to a lighter grey but I wouldn’t really say that’s an issue.

There's no fighting, no jerking, and the internal guide ensures the hose layers evenly every single time. This reel has completely eliminated the most annoying part of yard maintenance for me. It’s built tough, works like a dream, and keeps my yard tidy. Highly recommended for anyone tired of manually wrestling with long hoses.

I loved this reel while it lasted. It looks great, the mount is sturdy, and I didn't have any water flow issues. Unfortunately it only lasted 2.5 years of light use before the internal spring/winding broke and it stopped rolling up today. I probably unwound and retracted it 30-40 times since I bought it, so it wasn't over-used or abused.. it just won't hold up. I paid $140 for this, so it's a bit expensive given how long it lasted.

Thus far I’m loving this product. The hose length is perfect for me. The quality is very good, durable and not flimsy. But it’s the ease of retracting that I enjoy the most! I got so tired of rolling up my hose into the hose box, that never seemed to stay still while rewinding!! With this reel, you just give it a lite pull and it retracts on its own, while drawing the excess water left in the hose out!! I’m very happy. I hope it lasts!! UPDATE: I experienced a slight problem with the hose reel. The hose would no longer retract. I contacted the company and I received the best Customer Service I’ve experienced in a long time. They were very receptive of the problem. They provided specific instructions on what I needed to do (send email with information & video) and told me I would hear something back within 48 hours. When I didn’t hear anything back after the 48 hours, I called again and found that they did not receive my email. The agent then took my email address sent me an email and ask that I just respond to that with my information while he was on the phone. Want he received it, he immediately sent it to the area that needed to handle it with a note to push it through immediately, and I heard from them the next day. Bottom line, I received a new hose reel. It’s easy to stand behind your product when you know you make a great product. Giraffe tools can offer excellent customer service because they make excellent products!

Update: Changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. The manufacturer replaced the unit without a hassle and should be here in a few days. Sometimes products don't work the way they were intended too. I'm glad the company recognized that and sent a replacement. I've had this up on my wall for approximately 5 months. Initially, it worked great. The function is awesome and it reels well, but the hose quality is lacking. Maybe I got unlucky? The hose split and is now bulging out. Its only a matter of time before it bursts. Mild-moderate use over a dirt yard.

This retractable garden hose took my husband a bit of time to get set up, but once installed, it looks great mounted on the side of the house. I really like the clean, organized appearance compared to a traditional hose reel. One of the best features is that it swivels back and forth on the wall, which makes it easy to use for both the front and back of the house. The hose itself is very long and easily reaches the back of our patio area without any issues, even though it’s mounted on the side of the house. The one odd downside is the retraction mechanism. When pulling the hose out, it can be a little tricky to get it to pause without trying to retract automatically. This makes laying it down and picking it back up again slightly more inconvenient than expected. I’m also not a big fan of the included nozzle. It doesn’t spray with as much force as the cheaper metal nozzles you can buy at the store. That said, if you’re mainly watering plants or a garden, the pressure is perfectly fine. I’ll likely swap the nozzle out for one with more pressure to better suit my preferences. Overall, it’s a solid product with great reach and a polished look—just be aware of the learning curve with the retract feature and the nozzle if you prefer higher water pressure.
